The top story found is one where 285whp can be had for 300 bucks though... My guess, at this point, is foul play... I hope not. Let this thread die...

2003 IB MCS

 

I was hoping that most people would catch that it's obviously a joke. Someone sent it to me this morning so I thought the timing was ironic.

Frankly, if you have doubts about an MCS over an SRT-4, you bought the wrong car. I don't even know why some of you want more power. Put that thing on a track (roadcourse) where it belongs and you'll see that it has more power than necessary STOCK. If you wanted a dyno queen or a stoplight "racer", then look elsewhere.

 

Right now until my JCW Cooper comes in I am driving around in a Mustang GT Vert. I have people step up to me all the time trying to race me, the car is pretty flashy with 18" rims steeda exhaust etc. I know for a fact it runs 14.4 in the 1/4 not very fast. So when people step up to me on the street, like this 60 something year old man in his Infinity G-35 I dont bite my car is not that fast its just fun to drive.

I bought the JCW for the better back seat room, need a baby seat in about 4 weeks, I have no illusions about its performance. It will simple be a really fun car to toss around and look cool doing it.

Now a revenge story for you SRT-4 haters.

Titled: Dodge Neon SRT-4 w/ cocky kid at wheel
My car: 1987 Mazda RX-7 with 1993 RX-7 Motor RWHP=290 at the time of this race today its 360. Best 1/4 Mile 12.6 with wastegate issues. We are expecting 11's next time out.

He is playing cat and mouse with me in traffic. He keeps close to me and keeps showing off his cars impressive acceleration. Actually it was not shabby.

So we end up side by side rolling at about 25-30 MPH holding up traffic. He asks if I have a twin turbo or single I say single. He says those can be pretty fast. LOL. Then he says do you even know what this is??" Without a hesitation I tell him yes a SRT-4. I guess I was supposed to be scared.

I figure he we held up traffic enough. I ask if he wants a go at it. He says hell yeah!

I let him hit it first. I punch it and pull immediately. So I let off for a sec and go 1/2 throttle. He starts to pull on me so I floor it. I sort of half power shifted third, this is the first time I really nailed shifting to 3rd. I have not hit it this hard even at the track. It suprised the hell out of me because I didn't just chirp the wheels I broke them loose and fishtailed. I stayed in it and put an easy 20 cars between us. I had tons of room so I stayed in it up to about 105. Then shifted to 4th and lat off. I could hear the flames popping out of my pipe.

I slow back down he comes up with this amazed look on his face and screams you know that thing was shooting flames. I just smile shake my head and tell him I am turning. I turned off and went home.

A week later a friend stops by my office and tells me I am getting famous. It seems SRT-4 boy has been warning all his ricer friends not to mess with the black Turbo RX-7.

Reminds me when I had my 11.2 1970 Duster 340. Just thinking about that car makes me miss it. Thanks for your story, it brings back some very very good moments in my life.
