i mean... that's pretty "built"... i don't particularly like that term but... i mean the only last thing to do is to stroke it. I'd say it does pretty damn well right now. especially since it's a dd 400whp... and it's one of the only dd twin charged cars.

Yeah I agree with you, it is doing pretty damn well. It is just fine, but I talked to him a while ago and he was going full turbo(at some point). Plus after that(full turbo makes it run safer because of less boost needed), you add in the stroker and a stand-alone ecu instead of an AFC...just imagine what is possible...and then for those not faint at heart...Nitrous...who knows how far these cars can be taken...

Plus he is still on the stock head, is he not?

And his dd of 400WHP is nothing compared to what he has dyno'd...
...What's to come of these numbers and the speed they provide?
Here is the answer...
...I want to know(see, hear, drive, experiance, all of the above)...This would be my dream, and just might be once I get the money for my full turbo conversion.

ha ha.... it is Twincharged... stock head... stock crank, rods and bearings... it's deffinetly not a track car... needs allot of work for that to happen... lol... the CV joins hold up cause the tires let go pretty easily if I drive like an idiot, I.E. not control the throttle... if I put slicks on there I bet I could snap em in about ten launches... LOL

no 2.0 conversion....

the DMV only matters when it matters... but yes it will pass in most states... the only one I know of that is an issue out right is the republic of kahleeforeneeah

second of all... information isn't free. What is your hobby for your car is another mans passion and career. Just because you think it would be neat to diy this... doesn't mean he should have to give up the research he's done for it.

etc etc.

I think it would be neat of we all held hands and sang kum-by-ahhh around a tritec hoping it will magically become faster... but it's not going to happen... boring this beast out takes time, money and knowledge... none of those items are any where near free... or even out for loan.
I not trying to dig at anyone, just interested in it and want to see whats out there.

Just wanted to know basics like, if it will work on this engine, if anyone has successfully done it. Will the supercharger and other mods work with it. Bore/stroke? Stuff like that. My best friend the machinist builds some crazy VW 1.8 Ts with 400 hp. He would do it for me. Just trying to test the waters. Free information is what northamerican motoring is all about! If you don't want to sell out don't =)

On the other hand, I have really enjoyed reading this thread!

LOL SRT4s arent very fast.... the first one I ever beat I had an intake, pulley, exhaust... we raced about 4 times... different styles... he had small mods... I have also raced SRT4s with thier stage three package 389 bhp or whatever... which is only 340 ish at the wheels... and the car is heavier.. than the mini

Check out the SR20DE & SR20DET! 500 HP on stock internals is common. I love my MINI but I do miss my SE-R's low end grunt…

Dump in some C16 and plug up the race gas tune and that number jumps to aboot 420-425 at the wheels. Good numbers but I used to work with a dude with a Stg.3 SRT-4 and at full boogie it was a 12.30 car on slicks. Not bad but you can do that with a full tilt R53 on just a blower, no twin charging. Granted in both cases, you're 5-7K into the motor but you know. You wanna play you gotta pay.

yeah no doubt... I always try to explain to people... I dont care WHAT it is... the $ in the end to go X amount over stock is the same.... it's the bs mods that are small that people complain about... but if you go big the cost is the same... so pic your poison and enjoy the car of your choice

I personally enjoy having a low 12 second MINI over a low 12 second Neon

especially cause I can still out corner most cars so it's double duty...

I said duty

Agreed... Having owned an srt4, I raced a Mini when I was "new" to my car and blew his doors off on the freeway. Until we hit a turn on the I-60 and my car started feeling like it was about to flip, about that time I started backing off and the Mini blew by my like a joke... I'd put Tuls' car against any SRT out there aside from the fully built AMS 800whp SRT but for what he has, who can say anything against that Mini?
I got your back!!!!
