Peoples experience with warranties & engine work with a 15% pulley installed.

I'm planning on having a 15% reduction pulley installed in my 05 Cooper S.
I'm just trying to find out peoples feedback about any New York/New Jersey Dealers/Shops that WILL perform cover engine work under warranty

Yes.

Morristown Mini said that they will happily work on any modded car or mod the car.

Changing the pulley only invalidates the warranty on the SC.
(or so said Irving or is Erwin? Anyway he's the lead tech there, and seemed very knowledgeable at any rate.)

BTW, the only difference between the JCW SC and an '05/06 is a 12% pulley reduction.
(same source of info as above)
Early SC were not teflon coated like the later...

Not bad, that's not to far, I'm getting an Uner 15% installed this monday and changing to a JCW belt at the same time.
I heard that they were good, so thanks for the validation

Do you know if they do any ECU Re-Mapping, I'm interested in getting my software adjusted to account for the mods.
It's a bit of a drive to do to LDG, although I hear that there real time Dyno tune is on point!

Don, at DHM, can probable handle the LDG tune for you. don and john are working together on some levels.

Where is DHM located?
And do you know what they charge for a tune.
If it's the LDG, do they perform it on site or send the ECU to MD.
I know then benefit of going to MD LDG, is they perform a realtime tune while on the dyno.

I've heard good things about DMH and Don as well... they've raced/prep'd Porsches for years...

If all you do is a 15% pulley then the dealers shouldn't make too much of an issue...the JCW pulley is almost exactly the same size (14.something %), so to say the pulley caused the problem would be admitting that the JCW pulley is bad.

That's DMH's office; the shop is in Califon. I had a good experience there.
