Hi guys,

I just wanted to share that Randy has agreed to make a trek to the Bay Area in the Fall. I do hope we can muster up at least 10 or so folks to make this a reality. I have a thread going on MINI2 that I will provide here. If interested, please let me/us know:

Thanks!

Tony

It would be great to have Randy here in the Bay Area for the pulley install, I'm not sure that I can wait that long though. Randy should ship his car out here, do the pulley installs on September 30, Oct. 1 and 2nd, then drive to Laguna Seca for the MINI Challenge on October 3, 4, and 5th. Maybe the group pulley team can pay for Randy's entry fee and shipping cost. It would also be great if MINI Motorsports was represented in a booth at the event. Check it out here

Guys, I just want to confirm that we have (from MCO):

gosharks
bbt4

With those on MINI2, I think then we are at or near 10... Or am I counting you guys twice (also a MINI2 user)?

Please let me know. Thanks.

You are in bbt4. So, you are not on MINI2? I want to make sure that I'm not counting you twice - here and there...

Ok, I had to ask because gosharks chimed-in over there and I counted him on the MINI2 thread. He used the same name, making it easy... If you know of others, please help in the sharing of this opportunity. Thanks!

If we fall short of 10 pulleys for whatever reason, how many of us would go for the ECU upgrade if that will help sell Randy in coming to the Bay? I also want more information on Randy's method to re-flash the ECU when the dealer over-writes it when serviced? I see MINI Mania is offering a programming unit with software for under $400, and others will let you upgrade/reflash through your laptop computer.
Randy, can't wait to have you here bud!!!

Those are good questions. Please chime in with those on MINI2 as Randy has posted there a couple times. And bbt4, if not much trouble, please also do the same. It will be much easier if we have all interested and commited folks in one location. Right now I have 4 threads to monitor (2 each on MCO and MINI2)...

Also, Mania's Shark Injector will be out in a couple weeks, so that might be a viable option, if the numbers are comparable to Randy's EVOTECH solution. I think a few of us would want the ECU re-map also...

I think we are near 10 already. I'll keep the active count on the MINI2 thread....

Thanks.

Great to hear minimp! Everyone here on this thread has also posted on MINI2. It makes it much easier for me to keep track of the interest and communicate with everyone. Please, if not much trouble, it would help if you did the same.

Thanks for joining us. I believe that gives us over 10 for sure now!!!
