It seems that he was referring to a straight line. I hope most Porsche drivers know how to downshift....

Plans for wringing more torque out of it? Seems with that HP more torque would be nice.

And will these RMW cars ever get tuned?

Danny's car does have a tune on it. Just not one from RMW. Danny asked to get flashed back to stock but with an increase in the Rev limit and instead received a flash made for another car.

This is why the A/F isn't so good and the TQ is so low. The tune wasn't designed for this car.

It turnes out its not a tune of another car but a special one for my car that Emil put on my car. I got my ECU flashed to a stock map today and will post the dyno sheet of it tomoro. This dyno run will clearup most of this confusion.

Lol!

At least his engine can take it now that you've taken the egg shaped pistons out . I'm still waiting for my tune, my car's running filthy rich! I wouldn't be surprised if I was back towards the high 9-10's we saw when we first got it dynoed.

I'm glad to know I still hold the record for the highest WHP with the stock ECU at the stock red line. Thats for you Danny.

All joking aside, with the tune it only picked up 4hp at the stock red line. The tuned TQ was basically the same as stock .

So it sounds like the big number are from something other then the tune.

congrats on the vendor bit Danny.

Now to the car, you haven't changed anything on the car bar having the standard ecu map put back in the car.

If this is so why is Longboards so much better??has you car got an old style blower fitted??

Thanks for sharing the info with us Danny, makes the extra 36whp you had before even more impressive.

We took off the parts that made the last 20hp then reflashed the car to stock. The delta of stock map to the tune with stock rev limit is a apples to apples comparisons was 4hp and 1ft lb of torque.

My car has different parts on it compared to longboards. Bigger exhaust a cam and different collector made for high rpm power. It made most of its power in the last few thousand rpms

Tuls made a great point about how cars are broken in. I put 750 miles on my car before I ever went over 5500 rpm. I can't say for sure that this is why my car is stronger but this car has shown to be strong since stock. I have done this on every car and motorcycles I have ever owned.

Good point...I'm seeing hardware making all the difference here rather than software in this case...

So as above but with 3 inch exhaust, 2% crank pulley, gianti inlet and minus the "something I have worked on but finally put in*****"and rev limit change.

Why wouldn't he post that? It shows the parts made the power.... All you had to do with the proper parts is turn up the redline to get more. It took him to 7800 rpm to make the 232 and 235whp runs with different pullies.

Notice the big difference under the curve, the car is MUCH MORE RESPONSIVE and the tq is much higher up to 5k rpms. Once we get the rev limit raised we will be going back over 250 again.

The car is running 2 a/fs better now and the EGTs are almost 200 deg cooler. We did some testing yesterday in 107 degree heat in the Valley and are very pleased with the results. The car is adapting better to the stock map and I think you will see even higher numbers shortly.

Things are changing rapidly on the Mini scene

The hydra will go on the Rotrex for now to assess the viability of the s/c kit. So far it is very exciting with NO tuning. After that is done, if we havn't got the tune for Danny's car on it will go on there for a all out tune.
