JCW suspension kit for MCS... Is it worth it ?

Well im thinking of revamping the suspension on my MCS. Well actually, when visiting MorristownMini's website i came across the JCW suspension kit and i figured, for the price they are asking for it, it may be worth getting!

Ive only got springs on my car, and eventually i gotta do the struts/shocks anyway.

So my question is, for those of you MCS's owners with this suspension... How do you like it ? Also, how much did it lower your S ?

Absolutely 100% worth it IMO. Better handling AND a more compliant ride. Win-win!

if you have springs they might actually lower the car more than the jcw kit. as far as the shocks go im not sure how much different they are than stock, but I drove a gp and its amazing. but for the money im not sure

The JCW suspension is, of all the JCW mods (Engine kit, brakes), the biggest bang for the money. I have all three and love the way they integrate together (brakes could be a bit better though), but the difference in the car with the JCW suspension is amazing for what it cost compared to the others. Car is much, much tighter, but rides as nice if not better than the standard suspension.

+3. I had all the JCW widgets and the suspension was the biggest bang for the dollar.

for a bit more I think you could do better with aftermarket as far as performance.

But for a DD and basic performance shock/spring setup you'd be hard pressed to beat the jcw. It's going to be a great mix to pull double duty for dd use and autoX use.

Honestly add camber plates, and rear control arms to it and you'd have just an top notch handling system that wouldn't jar your teeth out.

juts my .02

p.s. mods plz move to suspension forum

Yes for camber plates, no for rear control arms. The negative camber in the back doesn't go too negative with the JCW suspension, so you don't need rear control arms for alignment purposes.

The front camber plates make a big difference.

They do add some noise and harshness to the ride, though.

I have the JCW suspension on my Cooper. Highly recommended from me, too.
