Looks like Jan has been hard at work. Explains his absence here lately.

Very nice work. Kit must be near completion.

I don't even consider the R56 a Mini . To fat and ugly.

Dyno next week. We figured out part of our boost problem. The belt was way to short and was slipping . Danny put a new belt on today. Because my car has Jans first header and exhaust it didn't have the V-bands so Jan changed it to V-bands for me. This and a lot of other things have added time to the project. I have said this before but next week we are on the dyno for sure.

After that there is two more things we are going to do. So, Dyno - new part - dyno - new part - and finely dyno again. Should be fun.

I have been crazy busy. i will call you next week.

No need. the intercooler sits dead center in the scoop. The core is the same width as my widened scoop opening. It also sit perfectly flush with the bottom edge of the scoop opening.

Oh, the intercooler isn't finished. There are a couple more trick items to be added. Did anyone notice what was inside the opening in the inlet end tank?

some sort of divider / diverter?

questions -

a) why two cores welded together and not one ? or am I looking at it wrong. I thought you guys were going a-to-w IC ?
b) why retain the stock air box? This tubing seems to be screaming AGS type set-up.
c) being that you have eliminated much of the cast tubing and have the rotex - how is the sound (i.e. whine) different ?

don't take the above as negatives - just curious about the thought process.

PLEASE STOP POSTING PICTURES

Is there going to be any surprises left for AMVIV?
Not to mention competitors who are already trying to steal everything I make

What you really need now is a smoothed in scoop. Some vents in the hood would look nifty as well....

I have a spare hood here...just say the word..

I'll answer this one
the prototype is a 2 core design since they don't make that size , it has to be special ordered. ( we will do this once we prove the system)

b) because it works fine...
there is nothing in common with AGS, this is a ROUND connector and WILL NOT LEAK. We don't have space issues like the eaton

c) the sound is amazing......It's quiet for one, sounds somewhat turbo like without the annoying blow off valve. Makes the exhaust sound even better.
It's amazing how much the Eaton ends up making noise in the exhaust system

none are taken as negatives... all were decent questions

Cool...I'll even donate* the hood to the cause.

*Assuming it's a not CF special but made from an OE Steel hood that happens to be Space Blue right now.

The competitors are the one's that said the rotrex would never work.

Why would they want to steal something that doesn't work?

Come AMVIV the number of close up pics taken will be crazy. Should we keep the hood closed?
