Sounds like we're pretty much there then.

RedSkunk,
Any way to convince Barry, JI, DI and NE to register soon? VV and I have tried.

So it is Watkins Glen next on my agenda with SCDA April 26-27. Only 2.5 hours track time on the classic 3.5 miles course. Anyone else going?

Be there April 30th/May1st....with TM's.
Open track baby.....
You and VV should come sometime and get checked out for Open Track..
Hey Slinger, what pressures do you run with these Nitto's? Hoosiers were easy - target was 40psi hot.

Slinger hasn't run his Nitto's yet but I ran mine @ 34 cold and they got to 42-43.5 on a day where the temps were in the 50's. Those pressures are without the brick strapped to the tires.

He put those bricks on my tires ...
I heard that 42-44 psi hot was good for the Nitto but I have no first hand experience from it yet. I am still running basically stock with street performance tires.

Prolly that you should avoid them..
Or you'll need new tires which then can then provide...

I'll probably need new ones after Monticello anyway...Have fun at WGI and VIR and please post what Nitto recommends. This R-comp thing is new to me, but the tires felt good at those pressures.

I emailed schao last night and it doesn't look good for either SCDA or TM's...apparently a problem has appeared with the diff in the race car. He may not make either of the events if not rectified soon..
No word from Nitto yet...

Looks like Schao is not able to make it. If no Minis show up, I guess I will have to hang around with the Miatas again.

Look at this way.....
There will be at least
some cars that you'll be able to pull on the back straight!

I hope to be able to beat the Honda Fit or Smart car down the back straight.
Looks like it is going to rain Monday and Tuesday next week at WGI. I may not even bring my r-comps. I will figure it out on Sunday.

I am on my way out to WGI for two days of rain soaked fun. I hope to be able to see some Minis out there.

A wet day at the track beats a sunny day at work, right? Have fun and stay safe.

S-driver, did Nitto ever get back to you regarding hot tire pressures?
