OctaneGuy's Plastic Trim Sauce--almost there!
OG gave me permission to say that he snuck me a very small sample a few weeks ago and I've been secretly testing it.
1. It still looks just-applied after two separate days of rain. I've only seen one or two products last that long, but they weren't going as strong at that point.
2. I love how this stuff beads water when your car is in the rain.
3. Octaneguy's photos on "good condition" trim don't do the product justice...it is very impressive when you have aged trim like mine.
4. The smell is good enough for Kenchan to add this as dessert to his Hydro diet.
More rain on the way tonight, and I'd like to see if it survives a wash too before I make my final judgments. But so far, it is a great product!
Forever Black is not a trim treatment product. It's a dye. So I really put them in different categories. Granted FB brought my trim back to reality. But if I had been using a product like this it probably wouldn't have turned so bad to begin with.
Once you apply FB, you still need to apply trim treatments to make the trim look its best.
And I think OctaneGuy is sitting on a huge cash cow if he can market this to jeep owners.

or more
1.5 weeks.
If you are spoiled like so many people here and live in california or wherever where you don't see rain, mud, salt, etc several times a week, then products (waxes, trim treatments, etc) last dozens of times longer. 303 for example is a great product but it washes right off. That's why it's really only recommended for interior and california usage.
That's a big part of the reason I do not believe anything I read, even in here, till I test it for myself in real-life, new england conditions.

just to add some kudos to this product... when I visited OctaneGuy in LA, he let me use some of this on my black trim. That was on March 29. I then drove back to Tennessee, and have washed once or twice since then. For the past 2 weeks, I haven't been able to wash or detail my car. Although the trim does have some dirt on it, which would wash off with a good wash, it looks nice and black. I was admiring it as I walked toward it just yesterday. The stuff makes the trim look great.
So again, March 29 treatment and since then, I've only washed the car... not more treatments since then.
OG - put me down for a bottle to pickup at the Dragon please! I like the label and the name!

My apologies to all those that asked for a bottle at the Dragon, but still didn't get it. I brought enough(so I thought)--53 pieces, and they all sold out in one day pretty much. There was no way to keep track of who asked for what, who already paid and was just picking up, and those who were at my booth with cash in hand, ready to buy. Despite that--the sales were excellent, and when I return, I will ship out as many orders as I can until the first production is exhausted. So if you want your bottle now, best to get the order in sooner rather than later.
Thanks!!
Richard
Thanks!!
Richard
That'sa big word and I'm exhausted.
re: Mail
Well of course not, my shop is closed, and orders are shipping after I return from MOTD.
Actually you're very lucky Ken. Ords came by and picked up your bottle for you.

Richard,
I/we (Mini owners) NEED this the UK!
I trust you'll ship internationally and would ask you to 'pm' me with shipping cost for a couple of bottles to start with!
Have you made any arrangements for it's distribution and sale in the UK? I may be able to help and look forward to your reply.
Edit: Order placed via SCD and I look forward to receiving it!
