HYDRO!!

(needed to bring the thread back to topic some how)
car sounds great though... im super glad i got those polks.
(like how i got Hydro!)
Yesterday I washed, applied a coat of Epic and then a coat of Slick. Today I added another coat of Epic. I'm amazed......even mesmerized! Nero has kept the interior vinyl, rubber floor mats, exterior trim and tires looking better than ever. Ditto.......Clarity and the windows. My next wash will be with Hydro. I have converted from Zaino to Prima.
However, I have to admit that I ordered some of OctaneGuy's Plastic Trim Sauce.

Don't worry, I think we all ordered a bottle of it. After all the hype, we had to.
very close to Hydro.
i use to run nakamichi systems with MB soi think i know wat im talking about for the more natural sounds.
Z2 - No wax staining, a lot of surface shine, good smell, long lasting
Epic - Great wet-looking deep shine, long lasting, NAM supporter, local (well in Denver at least).
Both synthetic, applied thin, easy on and easy off.
Alphabetically Prima comes before Zaino.

no, the reason is be cause chamois, more than anything, seems to
shift the spraywax around than work it into the paint. it soaks up
water but also kind of attaches itself to the paint. when you use
Hydro you can't blot dry to apply. you have to wipe it across the
surface and gently (very breifly) work it into the paint. this is why
it is better to use a MF towel to keep contaminants away from the
paint but also keep the lubricants at the towel contact area.
if you think about it, good MF towels are like a dual function towel.
it grabs hold of grime and tucks it away from paint while it keeps
nutrients at the top surface of the fiber to maintain lubricity when
spray waxing/QD'ing.

Umberto......it's Zaino vs. Prima. I think you mean Z2 vs. Epic. Another comparison would be Z6 vs. Slick or Hydro, or Z7 vs. Mystique. Like MiniMaybee says, Prima products produce a smoother, deeper, wetter shine.....even shimmering.....especially on darker, metalic colors (mine is DS).
Also....with Hydro you have an easy way of maintaining the lustre just by washing and drying. Zaino doesn't include that option.

Okay ...I'm a believer now.
I have been using Mystique and Clarity for a few weeks now and have been very pleased ...but I kept forgetting to use my Hydro and quite frankly was not expecting it to live up to the hype. Well, I was wrong ...the car has never looked better and I could swear the MF towels were less saturated when I was done drying.
Very cool stuff.

I am sure most already are aware of this but Hydro does wonders on your glass as well. If I hydro a mostly dry car with a Monster fluffy I do a final buff of the hydro coated side of the monster fluffy on the windows. It takes any streaks right away and makes the windows look fabulous.

Do you think he's noticed yet???

From experience, I don't actually know the answer to this question. We hadn't thought to try them in that order.
Theoretically, I'm not sure either. (big help I am, right?!) In some ways I think that there's no reason at all that it wouldn't work. Then again, I can think of some theories as to why it may not. I'd lean towards, yes, but can't confirm it.
I guess we'll have to just try it!
MiniMaybee- you have both product line collections... have you tried them in this order by any chance?
We're so busy around here at the mo' that I'm not sure when we'll get to it, but when we do I'll let you know the answer! Also, I'll try to remember to ask our chemists too.

I wouldn't use Hydro over Z-2 and then do more Z-2, only because it would be putting a layer of wax between Zaino coats that may interfere with the bonding of the Z-2. Best to clean off the Hydro with Z-PC, Alcohol/water mix, vinegar, Amigo or Paintwork Cleanser. Why layer your Z-2 over something that may reduce the life of the application.
A better question is why you would want to put Zaino over Hydro. Z-2 will not give you a better shine than Hydro and Hydro will help increase the life of your Z-2 as well as boost surface protection.
So Zaino if you want (I now prefer Epic) and then use Hydro until you want to strip the Zaino and start again is my recommendation.
