HYDRO!!
Well, I'm tending to agree with Ken. Scary thought isn't it.
Flo is running around with the Dealer-applied wax and Hydro. I Hydro after every wash, but I'm not using as much now that I've been educated.
Flo ran around in the heavy rain/high water/hail yesterday. I can still see a great "reflection" under the storm dirt.

not scary considering i wont post anything unless ive had first hand
experience with the product; my posts are sound.
and i am bluntly
honest about product performance and store service performance.
if i said the product is good, it really is.
if i had issues with the
product most-likely people will encounter the same issues. although
some pro's might blame it on the consumer (me), but hell we're not all
pro's here and not all of us have so much free time to be detailing cars
every weekend; i think manufacturers in general need to come up with
products where a normal guy/gal can use successfully with that extra
margin of error and still turn out better than some cheeze off-the-shelf
product.
out of my favorites (Prima Hydro, Nero, Clarity, and im going to add
WheelSheild) Hydro has the biggest margin of error. you can use too
much, get it all over your car including trims, glass, weather stripping,
and your hands and still come out right; given that you use high quality
MF towels and your car is clean (ie, after a wash). the finish is so nice
people will think you had a full wax job done on the paint. and you can't
stop yourself giggling through your nose.

I totally agree with you. I've never used anything other than off-the-shelf doda till I came upon Detailing101.
Hydro, Nero, Clarity rock. I get such a rush of accomplishment that I never got with Turtlewax products.Could you demo giggling through your nose for us?

Hydro rocks harder than an RV full of horny teenaged sasquatches carving corners on the Dragon...
I just finished washing and Hydro'ing my nasty crappy 100K mile minivan (the one that's NEVER been waxed properly). I last washed and Hydro'd it two weeks ago. The grime and bugs just slid off relatively effortlessly.
Since last time, Heather said that Hydro on glass was a good thing. So I Hydro'd the whole big bad van, glass and all. OMG it looks great - clean and shiny and deep. And Hydro helps hide the swirls.
And I actually think using Hydro on it takes NO MORE time than just a wash and dry - because it seems to dry quicker / easier after the Hydro spritz. I don't spend a lot of time buffing - just wipe it down with the waffle weave and done.
Hydro rocks harder than DP mints...
Hydro rocks harder than Dustin Hoffman in Rainman...
(not making fun of autism - which runs in my family - just of DH playing an autistic)...

yah, Hydro turns semi-hard water into spotless water it seems.
i use it all the time now and it's just part of my drying process. i rarely
find the need to use the paint blade too. just on the winshield at times
but the water just sheers right off the paint during the final rinse.
and it could be just me, but it seems Hydro withstands soap better than
Epic...meaning, the water beads better than what i found with Epic under
soapy water. this might be why the rinse is so quick over previously
Hydro'ed surface.

I just read through this whole thread.....didn't know Hydro would hide swirls or that it is safe for the plastic trim....few questions though:
I use the Zaino system, for now, I think I've read that Hydro can be put on over Zaino but later on, can you put Zaino back on over if it has been Hydro'd?
As for the trim and arches, I use Vinylex each time after the car is washed and dried....leaves the plastic trim nice and black and with a flat sheen. Can you use Hydro as a replacement for cleaning/restoring the trim or is it just safe for the plastic but you're still better off using a separate product for the arches? If you use Hydro for the trim does it leave the trim very black and flat or shiny or in between?

OK guy's...I got the Hydro in and gave it a try...Add me to the club, the stuff is awsome! I even ran my car through the lazer wash the other day and used the Hydro as soon as I got home as a QT and presto, beautiful deep shine in just minutes!
PS: Got the Clarity too, great stuff! Guess I should have ordered the gallons...
should've seen my face when i was refilling myHydro bottle.

car washing, but you still get awesome results.
and i think mostpeople will be satisfied with this.
i haven't polished my black legacyyet this year. really haven't felt the need to yet because Hydro hides
light swirls so well. (mine is the lazy approach... still handwash, but a
quick 15min wash).

awaiting the release of OctaneGuy's new trim sauce (aka "the stuff)
Agreed - Hydro is "trim safe" - and if the trim is already clean and black, Hydro will help keep it that way, but if your trim needs a little extra something to make it cleaner or blacker, Wizards is very good. I also use ICE on the trim with good results. But, like Bamatt, I'm anxious to try "the stuff"... hope to get some at MOTD...
the beauty of it all is that you don'tneed to use a WHOLE lot of hydro to get great results.
