Detailed today! WOW I <3 PRIMA!
The day started off cold! Around 32ºF so all morning I was hoping and praying for some heat. Finally it got up, above where it was supposed to be, and barely broke 50ºF. I started with a normal ole' wash with my Armour All soap. Followed by claying with Miguires Clay Kit. From there I put up my tent and went to town with Prima stuff. 1st a nice application of Swirl to get rid of those nasty dealer induced swirl marks (
). Followed by an application of Amigo, to give that nice glossy look. Then protected with a coat (might add another tomorrow depending how I feel) of Epic. Since at the time of application of Epic it was about 48ºF-50ºF it cured, and cured, and cured, and while Epic was curing I grabbed my clarity and shined the windows, cleaned my pads, and put away my PC, for a good 90 minutes. Gave the swipe test and it looked brilliant. So I buffed off the Epic with the lovely Monster Fluffy (
) And tada! Shiney MINI! Pictures of the day are attached (not in chronological order.) 1st picture is of all my goodies I threw (not literally) at my MINI today. 2nd picture is my 'garage' to keep out of direct sunlight, although there are little patches of sunlight, it wasn't enough to make me not do it. 3rd picture is a random picture I took before drying after the wash.

Another great thing Jeremy is the finish lasts. I did my complete detail 4 months ago. After all the salt and such I brought back the same super nice, super smooth finish with a quick wash and a quick detail in certain areas.

Nero so wasn't sure what you used. Hydro, ey?

i would also recommend (if you haven't gotten the dressing yet) a small
8oz bottle of Griot's rubber and vinyl dressing. it's similar to Meg's r&v
dressing but not as glossy. but much glossier than Nero. doesn't
attract dust.
yah, cause it actually looks pretty matte. it looks slightly glossier than

. I also used hydro everywhere that I had taped off, since the tape left a little bit of residue.
bought in the big jug.
will be trying out Clarity (small bottle) this spring/summer and will
see if I need to buy a gallon of that too.... but from the looks of it,
i hear that stuff rocks.
Yes! Clarity is amazing. Especially with the DP Glass Cleaning Cloth. Get 2 jugs, one for the car, and one for the house.
their glass MF. i have their previous blue one and it was superior after
washing vs the griot's glass MF.. DP was truely lint free (was in the
same wash, same cycle, same air dry in the same room.... griots showed
lint after the wash
). honestly, Griot's towels are generally great untilyou wash them. DP MF's are great even after washing them showing
the true durability.

Great work!!
I'm glad you were able to manage with the cold temps. As you found out, it's really not that big of a deal... just some stiffness with the products and a longer wait time for Epic.
Like Kenchan said, you'll have to let us know how you like the look tomorrow too... Epic really does deepen and get richer about 24 hours (or so in those temps) after you buff it off.
I like how MINI owners will not let anything stop them! No garage? Just set up a tent!
Again, great work!

BTW, the new yellow ones are identical to the old blue glass cloths... just a color change.

i guess ill be the first to clean my blackberry with it too. lol
I use Clarity on my Mini, all glass surfaces in my house, my computer screens, my cellphone screen, & my eyeglasses
Only problem I had was on the front and rear bumpers, those little spaces down there are tough to navigate through (if you have the chrome line exterior.) Also, 1st time that you turn it on, be holding it pretty good, it wants to move a lot more than I thought that it was going to pull from me. Overall, just listen to the OG DVD and you'll do fine, with no problems
On a side note - I'm surprised no one mentioned anything about my super cool tent
I'm confused...I thought that I read in here somewhere that Nero was not very durable so it was not good for the external trim...dynamite in the interior however?
Also, for the tape residue, I would think Slick would be better as it is a QD with cleansing properties...Heather???

99% of the time and only driven on dry days. for such car, Nero will
do just fine.
i believe BlackRenew is what DP recommends as far as durable external
trim. im currently using Griot's rubber and vinyl dressing with much
success.
it's not matte like Nero so i dont use it on the interior.

There, that's better
