No. Now that I have go through the whole clear-bra-removal-and-reinstallation hoopla next week, I figured I'd wait til they were done swirling it up before I went at it.

I kinda wanna polish my glass coffee table with it tho...

i have like a 5x5mm area that got torn off from some debris
but can't barely notice it. it's like hair.... only you notice it.

Yeah...it's pretty small, but it took the paint with it and it's sort of right on the edge of the bra so I'm afraid it'll get worse.

Well, I figure for what I paid for the clear bra, it included the nice warranty so I might as well let them do it and put a fresh piece of film on...what the heck. They're going to replace the stripes too. All it means is I have to give up a little piece of my day; I'm cool with that

im going to install it in my G. the small red one.

i have the traditional 2 horn type in my basement that i used on my old
WRX, but wanted to try something new.

also ordered their new LeatherCare spray in the 8oz. I have their
regular LeatherCare which i like but time consuming to apply when
i just want to do a quick cleaning.... so will give this new spray a
try. i'll get the 32oz if i like it.

along with a gallon of SpeedShine (my favorite QD), and some other
misc things for my garage.

Hey Ken, let me know what you think of the new leather spray. I have been using the cleaner/conditioner for a bunch of years, and as much as I like it, I too wished that had just a quick spot cleaner.

Did you attend thier Chicago open house a few weeks back?

Will do. i should have the 8oz spray in my hands tomorrow.

yah, i attended the detailing session a few weeks ago in Lake Bluff.
it was fun. I learned a few tricks like to use Spray On wax instead
of SpeedShine to remove polish and waxes (much easier). and does
not affect adhesion of Best of Show, per the Griot's tech. other
then that, I just watched and snacked on their salad.

got my order today.

I took a sniff of LeatherCare spray and it smelled the same
as the LeatherCare creme. that's a good thing cause it
smells real nice.... like brand new leather.

this is perfect cause im working on my G this week to install
a bass-tube in the trunk and i got majority of the wiring done
last night. needed to remove part of the rear seat, working
in the trunk area, etc. will finish tomorrow evening and
cleanup using LeatherCare spray.

going to install my mini airhorn tonight. hehehe

I got an email back from Griot's about the 3" RO:

Hello Melissa,

Thanks for taking the time to send us your inquiry. We are addressing quality issues with the 3" Orbitals- While I don't know every detail, I have heard of units that wouldn't turn on, and some units were apparently oily- like they were lubricated excessively. We will be replacing all of the machines which we shipped out, as soon as the new replacements become available. A new machine, along with a return shipping label for the defective unit, will be sent out- hopefully around the first week of August. If your unit is operable, please feel free to use it in the interim, or if this is unacceptable, please feel free to return the unit now for a full refund- we will reimburse you for the cost of basic ground return shipping.

If you have any additional questions, please feel free to email us at info@griotsgarage.com, or call our Customer Service Department at (800) 345-5789 from 6 am - 6 pm PST Monday through Friday and 7 am - 3:30 pm PST Saturday. Thanks again for your email, and have a great day!

^^ hummm...I hope yours is fine. im sure it's a hit or miss. if it runs,
im sure it's fine. if it's overly oily, i suppose you can wipe it down with degreasers.

It wasn't oily when I took it out of the box. But I haven't had it running yet...maybe that'll get it started.

i tried out the new LeatherCare spray. it's like the Nero of leather sprays.

shook the bottle, sprayed into a MF towel, and wiped away. No fuss,
just super easy wiping. satin finish. Even on perforated leathers no
problem. so easy; just wat i was looking for!

8oz will last a long time.

Sorry, I didn't have a chance to chime in. I have a pair of Birkenstocks that are made of a rubbery plastic that I use for washing. They fit pretty tight so in the winter time I can put on a pair of wool socks and still keep my feet dry.

Thank you for the leather spray update!
