did you talk to griots about your order? sometimes they will
show the next arrival date cause the previous batch had already
been committed. your bucket could maybe be in the previous lot
and on its way to you. might be worth checking... (?)

I did check and received a rather kurt e-mail that it is "on back-order, just like the website said, and it should ship by August 1st."

ML- griot's page states below regarding the 3" RO... probably means yours might over heat easily?

"Dear Valued Customer,
The Griot's Garage Professional 3" Electric Orbital is no longer available. We are currently working on a better, faster, and more powerful 3" Orbital and it should be available for purchase in late Fall 2007. Please check back with us or watch your mailbox for availability of this new car care tool."

Yeah they had sent me an email a while back that some were overheating and burning out, and that some were leaking oil...which would explain why they were overheating.

Between that and Richard's story (sorry Richard ), I've been very hesitant to try it out. It's just hogging up space in my cabinet; I should probably just send it back to them and get my $80 back!

i just realized this mop thingie comes with 2 mitts!

it's a nice unit... considering it can telescope, i can use the handle
for painting too. very cool. (or to poke the wife from accross
the room so she can get me a cup of coffee).

LynnEL- just back track a page or two on this thread and you'll see the link.

This reminds me of a Foxworthy comment: Getting married for sex (or coffee) is like buying a 747 for the peanuts.

Thanks for the link.

will do. that mop head and mop mitt is much smaller than i thought,
which is a good thing. on that griot's picture it plays a trick on ya
cause that mop is upclose while richard is far behind.

yep, new wheels for the legacy. (top pict). these are priced
buy one, get 3 free! well, compared to my SSR GT3's with tires.

my wife's kinda lopsided (well, lopsided forward) right now and very slow.

That is good. I actually did look at that and passed, thinking the head looked way too big.

"toss." Yeah, right. You probably wrapped them in three layers of protection material and carried it out to the car like it was a new-born panda.

why panda? Im not chinese. i would rather wrap some charburgers and
cheeze fries.

it came in a plastic bag so I just put it back in there and
"placed it" in my car.

My driving lights came today (the new, unbroken ones)...still waiting on like 5 other packages, including Griots. Although Griots comes by UPS, this box came DHL.

Anyway, I emailed my guy at Griot's (a non mean guy!) and he sent me a printable PDF to return with my 3-inch orbital, as well as a pre-paid UPS label.
