Wax on top of clearbra?

Possibly a dumb question, but I want to make sure before I start off...

I have a 3M Clearbra (the newer one that comes up higher on the bonnet) on my 06 MCS. Can I wax straight on top of it, or is there something I should be watching out for?

You can wax it, in fact this is recommended. I Zaino over the bra, keeps it looking nice!

i use a ton of NXT on my clearbra to make it slippery so bugs come off
easily.

I've had the same person install the 3M clear bra product on my last three cars. He's been doing it for a long time on high-end cars. Very competent person, he highly recommends NXT for the clear bra as an inexpensive and effective treatment. It works for me!

You might want to put some painters tape, like 1/4" tape over the seam before you wax it, to keep residue out of the cracks. Or otherwise make sure to have a nylon brush like a toothbrush handy and some quick detailer otherwise your clearbra seam will get more pronounced due to buildup.

no buildup of wax.

Yes I do this as well sometimes. I also use "detailing" brushes soaked with QD. Works great.

Be careful using stiff brushes on paint.
