OctaneGuy: Monica's 2007 Chili Red MCS Detail

This detail was performed at ShowCarDetailing.com. The materials used can be found at ShowCarSupplies.com

The steps were Wash, Clay, Polish, Wax

The entire engine bay was detailed using Prima CosmoNot to remove cosmoline and grease, and PreWow to clean the metals and plastics, and for final wipedown after heavy cleaning with CosmoNot. PreWow (PW) has not yet been released but 40 people took samples home at MITM/MTTS. PW is expected to be launched by the end of September.

The entire exterior was machine polished with the 7424XP PC using Prima Swirl, then Prima Amigo, and finally sealed with Prima Epic. A white LC pad was used for each step.

Note the absence of tape! PreWow eliminates the need to tape the trim!!!!

So worrying about things like this are a thing of the past

PreWow used as cleaner on metal parts

For the grills, a few spritzes of PW on the grills followed by a toothbrush.

Again teasing with the PW. Is PW better than IN/OUT spray?

Well let's see. In/Out spray is for restoring greyed trim.

Does it clean?
Does it remove stubborn wax/polish residue permanently?
PW is NOT a dressing. It kind of acts like one, but atleast on plastic, the darkening improvement are temporary. It lasts longer on rubber and metal, but that's not its intent.

PreWow is a PreCleaner. Use it to remove unknown substances on your paint, paint scuffs and transfers, old polish/wax residue, new polish smears from your buffer because you didn't tape the trim, etc....

PW will be ready for sale in about a month!

nice job, OG! looks great. PW looks promising too.

just yesterday i was having discussions with Dylan over at Adams about his in n' out burger spray. was like wth is that product? he explained to me later that their dressing spray works inside and outside of the car so thus the name... makes sense, i guess...!

Thanks!! Haha I was wondering too. His In Out spray looks just like Meguiar's Trim Detailer spray. Good stuff, but doesn't last long.

I could have used some PW tonight, as we were giving Molly a bath Hubby found some white scratches, I used some Prima Swirl, it took most of it out, if you didn't know what you were looking for you wouldn't known it was there. But it looks like the PW would have done a much better job!!
