Black WOW is amazing. I've used it twice in the year I've had the car (well, since it came out). That's all the car needed. When I got the small bottle, I thought "what a rip off." But with 2 applications, covering all the exterior black trim, which is a lot on a Mini, the bottle still looks full. The luster (it doesn' "shine") held through 3 seasons.
I haven't had that problem. I use a foam rubber applicator made for applying tire dressings (which I don't use). I find it the perfect size for the R56's wheel well moldings. I do, however, live in a high humidity environment.
But...after applying I find it collects dust like crazy (static cling?). How do you stop that?
It seems like applying black wow gives the plastic a super static charge. That's why I use 303 in between the black wow treatments (about every 3 months). I don't get a static build up with 303.
My preference for BW is to apply BEFORE I wash the car... then wash as usual including the trim. That seems to remove any extra stuff and eliminate the static/stickiness problems...

This is correct. Octaneguy suggests using Black Wow BEFORE you wash the car. Your goal with the product is to obtain a black matte finish in your trim, not the shiny/greasy look most of us grew accustomed with other products. Using BW before washing the car helps eliminate any product excess. BW is very concentrated and it is very easy to apply too much of it. If you do, the product will attract lots of dust, so if you have this problem, you need to wipe down any excess with a paper towel.
I use Nero as a "maintenance spray" with Black Wow - that combo works VERY well... Black WOW's real power is with trim that has degraded a bit... maybe has wax/polish on it, or has faded or "dried out" a bit... BW will restore this to like-new appearance... then Nero can help extend that appearance. But Nero alone won't bring back trim that has reached that point, in my experience with both products.
