you might like them, but imho they are too big. it needs to be 3" smaller.

i though you were using the MF wash pads before....

No, I've been using Griot's MF mitts.

If I get them and don't like them, I'm sure they'll exchange them for me. Their customer service is top-notch.

We have two Dysons. You'll LOVE it. Assuming you eventually find it.

You boys have been chatty today....

Dyson - love it. Bought it mostly based on how much Chris loves his. We were not disappointed. We waited til we had a monster discount coupon for Kohl's... and then Kohl's had a sale, and you could still use the coupon on top of the sale price... ended up getting like $200 off the Dyson (and the regular price was already not bad...)

Got Blimey all nice and clean this AM. Then drove 200 miles with the club and got him buggy and dusty again. But can just QD tomorrow and fix that...

Also installed my front splash guards this AM before I left - an easy 15 minute install... and seem to really cut down on the amount of crud that gets slung up onto the door areas... usually I'd have a bunch of dust and grass clippings and stuff on the doors after a long drive this time of year... much cleaner today. Money well spent.

The mud flaps / splash guards / spats are da bomb. EZ install (does require easy drilling), CHEEP ($14 at Outmotoring), and I like the way they look - I actually think the car looks BETTER with them on... but I don't have the Aero Kit... Looks better in "real life" than in the photo... doesn't stand out as some extra thing stuck on there like the photo appears... looks like it "belongs"...

Guessing you had to put the car up on jack stands to do the drilling, Paul ?

I bought a set of them... hadn't gotten around to putting them on. Might do that tomorrow.

Actually, I just jacked each side with my floor jack... turned the wheel to lock toward that direction, and did it (making sure not to get under anything that would crush me if it fell... you could probably do it without even jacking the car... just made it easier for me to see under the sill to remove the clip under there...

The directions show to take the wheel off... and you would need to in order to drill the inner/lower hole perpendicular... but I cheated and drilled it as close to perp as I could with the wheel on - probably at a 60 degree angle, but close enough for the rivet to go in and hold. In reality you're just drilling through a piece of thin plastic... so the angle isn't a big deal IMHO... if you had a stubby drill, short drill bit or right angle drill, it would be perfect without removing the wheel...

Thanks, Paul... doesn't sound too tough. Yeah, I read the directions before and it said to remove the wheel so I was going to wait until my next wheel rotation.

Cool... I have an early morning project while everyone else in the house is sleeping.

Hi gang, I've been busy, needed some time away from the site, and just needed to keep the lid on the laptop down for a while. Plus it has not rained for a full 2 days, so gardening is job 1 lately.

Both MINIs are dirty, bath day tomorrow for them.

Front mud flaps are GREAT they don't look like add ons, and they do work. Have had them on my MINI since it was new. The rear ones look tacked on to me, and they do nothing.

Ken that drill is a great model, you can get into real tight spaces with those.

I now have to go read lots of threads/posts, get caught up on things.

Mark

good to hear from you, lotsie!

sounds like you got a very busy sunday ahead of you.

yah, i had to get that drill to remove a few rusted aftermarket bolts off
my car. very tight space. the hex head was completely rusted and had
to extract them out. but that drill made my day.

sounds like you got a very busy sunday ahead of you.

Besides having to be at work at 6:15 in the morning, I have a full day planned.

I'm whooped. I probably sweated out 20% of my body weight at Mini Mania; it was 102 this afternoon when I checked. Ridiculous. And I went to all the trouble to QD and Clarity after the drive up, and an hour later all the cars were yellow with pollen

Saw Richard; the car looks great in person with all the little changes. I especially love the side vents. Played with all the goodies he brought and watched his son get REALLY excited about a caterpillar on his sleeve

Did the group run up to Bullard Dam, we took some pics and I gotta upload those tonight at some point.

It was a good day...a lot of vendors with cool stuff, lots of cool MINIs, a nice run. Lower the temp 10 or 20 degrees and it would have been perfect!
