hand held radio that is used on drives so everyone can keep in touch. There are usually extras for borrowing...
do you live around here (DC Metro area)?

Gina and I have 3 and others will have extras... It's a great way for everyone to keep in touch... Especially the caboose with the leader! It's not a necessity that you have a radio to go on the tour...

BTW, as I plan to do these things when I can, does anyone have a suggestion as to what kind of radio to get, where to get it, and how much I should pay? Thanks!

Cool. But what am I looking for? I have 4 Motorola "walky-talky" type radios. Is that what you are talking about?

I will have to figure out a way to change my schedule so I start getting Sunday's off. So many nice runs planned on Sunday! Which is my "Monday" at work.

I had extra time in the day yesterday so I ran it again just for fun... It's a blast... DCMM gets this run 1st!!! I'm running this tour for the Chesapeake Region Porsche Club on June 24th... It's definately a 2-break tour with maybe a surprise short 3rd break for a group photo op...

Make sure your radio has chanels and sub chanels. We ride on Channel 7 Sub-channel 21. So just make sure your radio can do 22 channels and 22 subchannels. If not, like JavaGirl said, there will be some to borrow, but you can pick them up at Best Buy pretty easily.

These are our *essential* pieces for doing runs, it is our communication for EVERYTHING!!
