To answer a few PM's... I think the question about this thread being a sticky was answered... It will become a sticky about 30 days out from the event...

 

The tour route is set... I ran the route again yesterday to make sure it flowed nicely... There will be 3 rest stops along the way... The final rest stop will be at one of the covered bridges for a group picture... Then on to lunch at a beautiful golf course...

I still have to have Gina drive the course a couple of times so she too knows the route...

June 3rd can't get here soon enough...

We're in if my work plans stay the same, we were scheduled to go to France for a week but it looks like that is delayed. The only other potential problem might be the hangover from my wife's birthday Saturday night, Los Straitjackets at the 8x10 in Baltimore - YES !

The run sounds fun so we'll try to be somewhat responsible....

HOLY CRAP I ran the tour this afternoon with the MINI... I hope someone has a roof-top mounted camera...

I'll be running the route a few more times before the big day... If someone is willing to commit to be the 2nd group leader, I'll let them drive the route while I navigate for them... Just let me know... But you got to promise to keep all the hidden gems a secret till the big day...

 

I was asked in a PM if this is a MINIs only event... The answer is YES... I'm running the same tour for the PCA on 6/24 but DCMM gets it first...

So once again... This is a MINIs only event...

It was fun running the tour route with Paul! the other afternoon... I took a few diehards on the a partial tour on May 6th... I have a few pictures from that tour which will give you an idea of some of the route...

Wait, is that a MINI among all those Porsches on May 6th?

 

I plan on bringing my doesn't-have-enough-fun-in-her-life-right-now mother along for the ride. Hopefully the weather will be nice enough for a top-down cruise that will really invigorate her! Either way, I'm certain she'll enjoy seeing all the MINIs twisting around the countryside in one long line.

Twisting around the countryside would be a mild statement... This run is also up and down the mountains... I'm sure she will have a blast... There are 3 rest stops along the way to catch her breath... The PB Dye Golf Club at the end of the tour is absolutely beautiful... The food is excellent and the prices very reasonable...

We're at 19 MINIs right now - 11 to go to hit the magical 30 mark...

I did a tour on the 6th with 45 cars, so maybe we can break that record

If your Mini likes zinging along back country roads, she/he will really enjoy zinging along them with family Join in the fun !

Wensley is out of the hospital and recovering well after having her front left strut and control arm replaced after the dealer doctor found it defective. However, she did not come through the operation cleanly and received a big scratch on the boot lid. The dealer doctor brought in a paint specialist and this too, received attention and is cured. Things happen....but it's all good.

We had a nice drive in to worky today Is it time to go home yet
