Hope to see you all out there today/tomorrow.(Don't forget to wave - IXE is what it says on the plates )

PS: If anyone wants to meet Nigel before I hand him off on tuesday to go on the Great Ice Cream run then PM me with your # and I will try to get a hold of you tomorrow afternoon. (I am staying at the Holiday Inn Virginia Beach Executive Center Hotel)

Will anybody in attendance have a Whalen **** that they would be willing to remove for a few mins while I see how much of a pain it would be to make it fit onto a CVT?

Would you mind popping it off so I can see if it fits on a CVT, or at the very least, see how close it is to fitting on a CVT

Not a problem...I'd be happy to do so.

What time will you be arriving in VAB?

cars to the right.
charge on.

scratch off one more bumper, fog light and turn light. Also the SES light is on and the car thinks it is -40 deg F outside so the AC is not working all that well. I suspect the AC, SES and temp are all the same problem. If any one knows where the temp sensor is and you happen to be at the event I would be greatful if you would be on the look out for my car. BRG/Silver MC with chrome mirrors. My NAM name is on the side. No need to reply on line as the car will be due at the dealership for a service soon. It would be nice to have AC tomorrow though.

Also do not make more of this than it is. No one was hurt and the car damage is very minor.

Look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow. I have not seen Paul or SallyKat yet. I did get to meet Larry (I hope I got your name correct, Black metalic/Silver 06 MCS) who is a new member. There are several MINIs in the bank lote, but the members must all be at the bars, have not seen any one on the streets.

Take care all and Motor on.
John

Bummer! The temp sensor is mounted up somewhere in the front bumper, so I suspect it got damaged. The auto AC needs those readings to work properly. Hopefully, the wire just came disconnected.

Checked the bullhorn at 5:30 AM - DEAD - needs 8 "C" batteries - anyone hoarding batteries and can they bring some? If not I'll have to find a MallWort.

Hey DaCrema,

Nice meeting you yesterday. I hate seeing our babies injured in any way. Felt your pain. I will definitely be keeping my distance from pickup trucks on the way back! See you later, today

WOw Paul! How did you report live? Hey nice seeing you and everyone down there! Had a blast....I think the official final count was 274.

I just love all the MINIacs that showed up. Also a great turn out by DC Metro Minis. I would estimate 30 of us? Everyone was in great spirits and the atmosphere was electric

Thanks to Don of Hampton Roads for showing me his uber kewl navi system on his brand new 07 And, thanks to DaCrema for taking all the photos! Would love to see them if you get the chance

Just wanted to say thanks to all of you that made the trip. I am so glad it was worth it. Great feeling to have the record back in the States. One of these days we'll have to get up there to one of your major events. Again great meeting you guys.
