[Sat, Mar 17 @ 9:45am] St. Paddy Day 'cruise'
Yeah... like the cop is going to pull over 17 MINIs.
Kidding, of course. He or she would go after the last car in line, probably.
Hey, we'll be going within a mile of my home on this run. We could really shock the neighbors with all those MINIs !
They think having two of them is pretty cool. Imagine how they'd react to 17 (hopefully more).

I am not surprised if the leader was the Geman guy from MINI Int. (don't remember his name) but just motoring w/ MTTS from NJ to CT everyone was speeding I had very hard time to keep up w/ GyPsy - plus w/ people passing me and trying to take pitcures of the GP it was not always within the legal speed.
Very different pace from the runs w/ DCMM - which anyone can do at his/her own speed. Just remember if you want to go faster stay at the end ... but if you a slow driver be nice go up front !!!
When DCMM goes on runs, we ask the slower drivers to be at the front, and the faster drivers to hang to the back. Why? It seems backwards... but what inevitably happens is that the group gets separated at times, due to intersections, turns and merging traffic. When that happens, the people that fall behind need to catch up... and it's a lot easier and less stressful for "faster" drivers to catch up to "slower" drivers than the other way around.
The overall goal, of course... is for everyone to stay (relatively) together, and to arrive at the destination at the same time.
yeah, my point behind the question was being curious or not if there was gonna be a spirited driving, and not just take in the scene's and drive like a grandma.....i know how it is on a set of twisties with a mini, and the urge is still as strong in my M.
Wasnt pushing the issue of speeding and seeing who is the fastest. There is always a group in a cruise that wanna push it a little bit farther and burn up the twisties in a so to say "safe manor" and not just putt through.

The officer actually said that he was only going to pull over the lead car, but since all 4 of the cars in the small pack stopped, he gave them all tickets.
His last name, believe it or not, was Cooper. The small pack of MINIs got pulled over by Officer Cooper
, what are the odds.

Who knows.. after doing some twisties you might want to go back to the MINI.
My husband found the '07 to be more fun to drive (around the twisties) than the VERY IMPRESSIVELY fast M.
Please tell me there will be NO MORE SNOW....1) so we have a nice run, 2) so I can put my summer wheels back on!!!!
I am looking forward to this so much.
We are getting LDGs reflash on that Thursday, so it should be REALLY fun!!!

I would like to say there will be no more snow, but I figured that last weekend, put my summer wheels on and drove through the slop the last two days will my wire wheels and summer tires. The best I can give you is that it's likely the snow is done for the season, but who know's.
Now, Now Stacey... As I sit here in AZ in the 89 degree HEAT, I don't even want to think about snow on my return! My God! What a scary thought!!!
Definitely, this will be a lot of fun. The trip is not too long, and route is awesome. Thanks to Feedback & Humcmcel for an awesome job planning the route.
Let's see what an "islander" can do in the big city first.
I don't know much about Humcmcel, so I am going to assume they can handle themselves
Since MaxiCooper has actually familiarized himself with the route, I think its unanimous that he'd be the perfect leader for this run!
Based on the experience of following that "islander" to the LDG open house, I know we don't want that guy leading the way!!!!
Hurray for MaxiCooper!!!!
OK.... That's all the entries, folks! We have a WINNER!

I'm bad in leading, I never look at my rear mirror, never use turn signal, and I drive fast.......etc.
I'm best in following the caravan.
Trust me, you don't want me to lead.
Good moved, Feedback.

For those who what to know I'm a former field service engineer with about 1,000,000 miles behind me. This includes both highways and back roads up and down the east coast in dozens of different cars.
