Catback Install - Anyone in the area want to help?

Hey guys, got my new milltek, wanted to see if anyone would be willing to help a new dcmm member get it installed.

I do not have a driveway or garage, so if you have one and would be willing to loan one and some tools that would be AWESOME.

or if you know anyone that is a member that has a garage/lift that can do it for cheap that would rock also. i got quoted 130 from the local shop to have it put on, which IMHO is way too much. I just dont want to be out in the wet on the ground fitting this bad boy up.

Thanks in advance everyone!! oh yeah i pay in beer lol

I don't have anything to offer but wet ground. Thats how I did mine. Drove the front up onto ramps, lifted the back and put jackstands underneath, and did it out front of my place.

For what it's worth, $130 for the install is pretty reasonable, Randy Webb charges $150 at pulley parties, or at least that's what he charged me. I'd offer up my garage, but my wife's MCS occupies the lone stall there. How much does Lucky Dog charge?

In any case, I think you'll be happy with the system. I've really enjoyed mine.

yeah i am weighing my options now. may use the ramp technique and put on some dirty clothes. i guess prices really are higher out here. in ohio its 40 an hour shop time, in alexandria it seems to be 95 lol. considering i got a full catback custom made and instllled for a honda accord for 225 bucks in ohio, 150 seems a bit excessive to me for fitting a direct fit part with all the gaskets, etc.

take it to a muffler shop... an hour labor..
or give induktion a call.

www.4induktion.com

very well known in VW scene, approved by helix13 lately for their parts install (including giac). I thought i heard something around $75 an hour...

Have garage down near Mt Vernon not far from you, and ramps, jack, stands, tools... I'm a bit sore with my 'condition' at the moment so I doubt I could crawl around on floor and help at this poing, but maybe 'tween my garage and tools and another volunteer from the group...

I'd be willing to lend my garage and tools if you want to install your exhaust there, I'd like to see a Milltek in person since I'm thinking about one as well

you might want to consider picking up a small tube of antiseize goop for the the bolts at the cat end. Wish I could help.

thanks for everyeones help. i got it on!!! w00t. i must say if you are considering this exhaust.... BUY IT... the sound is so friggin sweet. its not loud when you are cruising, but if you goose it hard, or get on it around some buildings it growls something fierce. if anyone wants to see or hear it in person lemme know. only problem that i see with it is the tips are hitting my rear valance, but that is to be expected as mini build consistency is pretty low
