Opinions on wheels please...

Whaddaya all think of these wheels on my car (left), as compared to the current Koseis? (on the right) I'm serioulsy considering these. Pardon the quick and dirty Photoshop hack. I think the black with a little polished metal goes well with the black and chrome trim on the car. I like minimal wheels with lotsa open space. Two wheels need replacing, hence my revisiting my choice in wheels..

i personally like what you have now...im also not a fan of the multi-make wheels, with spare holes.

Good point on the multi holes. I'm not crazy about that part. And the Kazera logo would have to be colored from the yellow to red or black. Perhaps I might color my current center caps or current wheel centers... black maybe...

I like the color and style better, but for some reason I am not liking the polished lip with your MINI.

I think maybe I like them better in the stand alone pic than on the car. Maybe 'cause the lip is silver and the wheel well molding is black, they don't go together as much as I'd like. Maybe I'll Photoshop painting the center of the Kosei's black. I could do that and get a decal with a MINI logo or Red S for the center caps?

Bent rim has you thinking new wheels.......did you notice anything before the inspection that did not seem right? How did they discover that the rim was bent anyway...the reason I ask is that sometime a bend is will not show its ugly head until you try and balance the bad boy.

While I think both options could work OK, if you are on a budget it makes more sense to keep the K1 Racing rims for the cost of two replacement rims given they are lighter than the Kazera rims (20 pounds each).

Had car inspected tonight for track day. Can't see the bend looking at it. But if you spin it it's quite pronounced. It's a rear one thats bad. The second is slight but... I'm also likely to end up with two set of wheels eventually, one for track and Dragon, one for 'normal' use. Hence I consider having two different looking sets of wheels.

Maybe just black MINI logo in the center caps simulated below. Small difference I know but sometimes a small diff has a big impact, to my eye anyway. I Photoshoped the whole wheel center black and didn't like that.

Yes, have the Kosei's on now, and it's hard to argue with the price and weight! I'm REALLY deciding between replacing two K1's now, or buying 4 new other style wheels and replacing the two K1's when I buy 'Track' tires. The K1's have been at that price since I bought em a bit over a year ago.

I'm partial to all black wheels, with no polished edge.
I like your original ones as well..

Koseis!

You always had the best wheels around .... lightest ... from the day you bought the car (outside of the SSRs).

No need to go backwards for bling

You're right about the black center caps. Small difference but it helps.

Thanks all, went ahead and ordered two replacment K1's, and 4 more Goodyear F1's. I've been nothing but happy with the wheels, tires, and especially Alex at Tirerack.

Just got off the phone with him and he qouted my sig line at me! :-) Let me just say again how much I appreciate their participation here and his support.

I'll take some time and think about what will constitute my second wheel set, before the Dragon comes around in the spring. Probably more K1's.
