I'm fairly sure we can do the run in one group. No interstates to get on/off. We will be driving through one town in WV with several traffic lights, but no turns at any of them. We have a preplanned "catch up & regroup" point picked out.

Our cell # is printed on the runsheet that we'll distribute at the drivers' meeting on Sat.

An experienced sweeper will be a great asset.

I'd be willing to sweep if you could send me the route in advance.

Reason being is I program the route into my GPS, and follow along with that. I have a 'waypoint' pretty much at every turn, so if we miss a turn, it can route me back to the point that we missed, or at a waypoint further in the route.

The GPS is great since I usually motor alone on these trips, and it's outstanding in the case where I'm sweeping and some get seperated. I can take the lead, and not miss a beat!

PM me and let me know!

I also think it would be nice to have the route in a Google Earth format so I can import it and run it "virtually". I don't have a nav system, but I find that using Google Earth, I can get a good idea for the nuances of the runs, and even print maps if needed. I could create a file if I can get the routesheet.

Don't forget to stay within the virtual speed limit. Don't wanna get a virtual ticket.

You will get them during the run. We will have some of the people, volunteers, to go ahead of us during the catch up phase and give them to the participants like a water stop on a marathon. As you drive closer the the volunteers, they will "toss" you your cling and you have to try and catch it within a 3ft area. If you don't catch it, you don't get it.

Doesn't look like they do the subchannels. They list what I believe would be subchannels as "Codes per Channel" and that is "none". So I don't think they do. The next step up one (the $60 set) does look like they do subchannelling.

Yeah, the packaging doesn't call the subchannels, subchannels. I was confused also when I went to buy mine.

Diner is great. Thanks.

Coopercops has a great idea. People tend to leave things at the 93 Memorial, so I am going to bring one of our extra flags, and a sharpie. We can all sign the flag and leave it at the memorial. Does this sound like as good an idea to you all as it does to me? Now we don't have to sign it, we can also just leave our flag.

Id love to sign it. I think the flag with the memorial in the background would make for a perfect photo-op

I was actually thinking of backing out completely, but then I drove from western MD to work today and saw how pretty the leaves were. And this months photo contest on NAM is "Fall Colors". So I'm trying to figure out a way to get up there and back.
