What a great time.

Thanks to everyone!

I have gone on alot of differn't car club rallies, drives, meets, etc.

It was really nice to go on a drive that was well planned & organized.

I especially appreciated the lack of the usual egos, attitudes, and the one guy who feels it's duty to show us all how fast his/her car is.

Again, thanks you for a great time!

I really don't think you will see much of that in this club. Glad you could make it. CooperCops, great job BTW.

I dunno, I found myself chasing after an S for a decent part of the 1st leg (to the lake) my poor CVT MC was having some issues keeping up

That's because you don't have an S and have a CVT. You should ask our professional CVT Master Paul! for some lessons.

I'm sorrry I missed this event. I've been on the B&B with DCMM and had a wonderful time. In case anyone's interested, The PHA (Pa. Hillclimb Assoc.) is planning an event near Cumberland next fall. No official date set yet but the course has been approved. Check out the discussion at:

http://www.pahillclimb.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=634

I plan on being there, probably running CSP.

Hey CooperCops, we had a great time!! We put in a few extra miles running to Hampshire County and back but really enjoyed it. We did a total of 835 miles this weekend. Found another route instead of Rt.51 in Md. Leaving Sunday afternoon, we drove Springfield Pike and St. Rt. 28/28A. to Ridgeley and I-68. Thanks again!

Ooo, big mistake sticking to Drive! Drive is pretty much 'granny mode'. It's great for highway cruising cuz it keeps your MPG up (I get 34+ if I stick to 60-65), but it's horrible for any type of performance driving. Sport Drive is better, and some prefer it for twisties, but I don't like how I can't keep control of the RPMs. In manual mode, you can keep the RPMs up around 4500+, which gives you some 'oomph' to keep up with those S's!

One weekend, I'll take you out and show you how to properly abuse the CVT!

(And the first person who replies and tells me any variation of how I can really keep control of the RPMs with a manual transmission is hereby contractually obligated to purchase my MINI for the sum of $15,000 so I can afford this PW/B MCS JCW arriving at Tate in the next few weeks! )
