ARRRGHHH - DING on HOOD

Washed my car for the first time today - noticed the following delivery defect - a nice palm sized dent near my supercharger intake. A certain dealer will be hearing about this tomorrow morning.

He didn't mention they left pen marks on the hood from where they tried to line up the factory stripes too.

Arrrh but it is a MINI...

Dont think about the imperfections... they are only cosmetic.... think of the JCW package , the twisty roads and new tires.... oh dont forget the high octane petrol (yes I am an Aussie and I don't say GAS), just open her up and listen to that supercharger scream... ahhh yes who cares for the little dings and pen marks.... Ok Ok I'll cut the crap... give em heaps krut, but like all dealers they will deny everything...

Is the ding from the outside poking in, or from the inside poking out? Oh, and is the paint broken? Lemme know, given my new line of work...

It's pointing IN Will. I'd rather give you the change than some anonymous dent guy out in Chantilly. Marina has three inward pointing dings on STREGHINA.

And yes I am a MCS addict - this is the first MCS JCS so technically it's my FIRST JCW. :-)

Thank you for the correction Krut.. BTW didn't we find two? where is the third one? We should get it fixed before the Dragon. If we can it fixed together maybe a MINI group discount..

I am so annoyed about the dings and I have scratched one new wheel already !!

It's about an inch and a half above the center top of the S scoop... It's a very mild depression, about the size of a half dollar. You can't see it unless you look for the reflection, and then stand off to the side and look down at it, at an angle. But once you see it, it's pretty obvious.

I know, because like the knick in my stripe from poor installation (about 1.5mm hole), I see it and it frustrates me every day.

The first dents & scratches are the worst. My poor MINI has so many rock dings and scratches on it now that I've stopped even looking...
