When your check gets to the club bank account, I will get your membership card printed and sent out to you within that week. About six weeks later you will get your full new member goodie package. The card will get you set with your dealership discounts. Then you just start coming to events and getting involved.
Looking forward to meeting you

Won't be able to make it to Tate MINI meets. I work in the morning on Saturdays :( But those post-it's will be there
I'm not sure who would remember, but last April i attended the backroads and battlefields 2 event... in my boyfriend's little green miata
I fell in love with the mini's in 03, and the next March i found the DCMM site, and asked if could come along in a miata to check out the cars and get some advice. The Monday following B&BII, i went to Crown and test drove an automatic Cooper. I wanted it BAD, but i had JUST gotten a full time position at work, so i had to delay buying one (i'm still only 19, btw :P). A week later i went to a miata event with David, and jumped in the drivers seat of my favorite miata that showed up. I then fell in love with it, and spent weeks practicing driving manual so i could expand my options on what kind of car i was going to buy. Once i (basically) got the shifting down, i started looking.
3 months later, the owner of the miata i really liked all of a sudden decided his miata was going up for sale. I bought it immediately.
I owned the miata for 9 months, and after many offroading trips (in the ice and sleet) this winter, i had my last booboo... ending up under a Cadillac's rear bumper. My b/f took me out to breakfast a half hour after i got back to work from the scene and offered to help fix the miata (since i dropped down to liability only 3 days prior!) Then my dad called an hour later to see if i was ok, and said he's coming over to work to look at my car. He pulls up in a LY/W mini! He gives me the keys, and said take it for a spin. I wanted to cry i was so happy... and so scared to drive again so soon!
He said he's not paying a dime on the car, but Crown is about to put it up for sale. Since it was a courtesy car, they gave me a nice price, and 7 hours after i hit my miata, i was the owner of an 04 LY/W/White Stripe MC. I sold the miata back to it's previous owner a few days later
. But out of pure luck, my mini had the rims i wanted, a sunroof, and a spoiler. That's all i wanted
I'll be adding a few more cosmetic touches, but it's otherwise going to stay stock. It only has a pinwheel on the antenna, and "THE SHORT BUS" vinylled across the back window right now. I made a wind up key to go on the back of the miata, which is now being passed down to my mini.
I'm VERY much looking forward to coming up there to visit with a MINI this time
I'm planning on joining, but was about to burst if i didn't throw down a post asap :P Thank you guys for being so great! I still have the Red MINI toy i won at the raffle at lunch at B&BII packaged up with my 55 other mini toys :P

Expect two to four weeks (worse case mail scenario) from the date you sent in your check until the first pieces of your welcome package arrive.
If you haven't seen or heard anything after a month PM either me, Jen, or lastrega and we will look into it for you to see what the status is...

I got the t-shirt order in Saturday and I am waiting on a re-print of a few more items, then the welcome packets will go into the mail. End of June is the target

Well, at least one of those memberships are my wife Amy and myself. We've had our Purple Haze MCSa (named Spencer) with black bonnet stripes and checkered flag mirror caps for about three weeks now and we still have wide grins
. That would be us tooling around the Gaithersburg area..........
I put a few photos at a website http://amysmini.pihl.no-ip.org if anyone is interested or thinks they may have spotted us.
Regards to all
Todd

In case you think you've seen us wandering around Gaithersburg, here are a few photos of Spencer.
We look forward to meeting people at a gathering soon!
