Hi all. . .Just wanted to introduce myself (and, of course, our Astro Black 2006 MCS that has, unfortunately, not yet been named) after a couple weeks of lurking.

Also wanted to let Jen and Marina know that I finally got my welcome package!!! So excited. Hope to make it to an event soon!

Congratulations on your soon to be new MINI.

We have about 259 paid members in the club as of this morning. I am actually updating the list today

We have several members in the Baltimore area and our events are all over the region. We'd like to get some more members from the Baltimore area too!

Ryan, I am glad you are all set now.

Anyone else having packet problems - I am spending today cross referencing lists and checking them twice. I am waiting on some t shirts for four packets sitting in my office waiting to be sent out:

Beavers
Gomes
Resser
Kuehn

I should have the shirts next week and get them out.

I am also going to do a mailing to the newest bunch of members to BE SURE you have everything you need.

So keep bearing with us.

Hello everyone

I just bought a loaded '06 Mini Cooper S in hyper blue on 6/8. And it's already got 300 miles on it!

I've admired Minis from a distance for several years, but never thought of purchasing one until last week. I took my 03 bimmer in for routine service, and while waiting for it, test drove a Cooper Works to kill time.

Six hours--and lots of explaining to my wife--later, I was driving away in my new baby. I love it. But we're going to need to make it faster. I'm thinking SC pulley, exhaust, intake, springs and sways.

Anyway, how do I join this cult? Just kidding.

Thanks Jen

Just wanted to say thanks to Jen for her work on the new member packets. I got mine in Januanry, shortly after sending my check. Now all I need to do is find a weekend where I'm not working or otherwise already committed so I and my hyper-blue mini can actually participate with this group

Packets went out today to:

Beavers
Gomes
Resser
Kuehn

Nancy and Pete - the t shirt is in the mail. You should have it Monday or Tuesday.

Several packets have gone out without our DCMM logo cling as I am out right now. I did not want to hold anything up. I have a list, and when I get them in I will drop everything in the mail to you.

Hi'

Hi all,

My wife and I plan of purchasing a Mini on Saturday from one of 2 possible dealers.

We are looking to get a Hyper Blue, or Black MCS Cabrio.

Tate has a new SA that seems to be really on the ball. You can't judge a dealership by how the salespeople treat you, but by how the service dept. treats you. I would go to Tate because of this new SA.

If you want a positive car buying experience, go with TATE MINI, they were easy to negotiate with on my trade in and my purchase. (They gave me exactly what I was asking) I was in and out within an hour and a half. That included test driving the MINI I was purchasing. Ask for Brian Horan. The drive to the dealership was a little farther than Sterling but well worth it. After you get the car, you can go to the waterfront in Annapolis and have lunch. It is a great way to finish the trip. Also, stay away from MINI of Sterling.....they were what you would expect from a used car dealership when it came to trying to purchase a car.
The Sterling MINI sales manager was an arrogant jerk and they are waaaaaaay understaffed. Expect to wait a long time (3 visits) before anyone could help me (truth!). Go to TATE of Annopolis, you wont regret it.

I am in agreement, the Tate sales staff was easy to work with. I went to both Mini of Sterling and Tate, and ended up buying at Tate. I live in Fairfax so it was quite a drive, but worth it. Brian Horan was also my SA

FYI...

You mean MA... Motoring Assistants (or is it advisors?) are salespeople.

SA's are Service Advisors
