Saw a Silver Mini at NNMC Bethesda with plate that read "3W INIW" Thought that was cool... maybe that's the "Mini Me" everyone was talking about earlier~ (Bethesda is a feeding ground for Mini's in the parking garage)

If that was a MD tag, they are (or were) members... Haven't seen them since MOTD 2004 though...

That's strange... unless they plan on rolling the car over a lot (on it's roof). I wonder why they didn't go with "3M INIM" instead? That way in a rear view mirror it would still be better understood.

Yeah, I'm sure the one you mentioned was taken. Half of the ones I came up with I thought were original, but apparently many minds think alike~

On a new note, I saw two yellow Mini's today/white roof's.. tagged one at the State Farm building near Springfield Mall... the other is the more fun story.

Bumper to bumper traffic coming back into VA from the Woodrow Wilson Bridge (I've never heard of traffic here ).. and the other yellow Mini passes me.. so when I catch up at a slugs pace I got her to put her window down and tossed a card ... mind you, not a flat one (sorry Jen). I balled the little guy up (the card) and threw it towards her window, but it bounced off!! So I had to move up a ways; and she finally caught up again - STRIKE 2... bounced off AGAIN!!! I tried, I tried...

But hey!! If you, the driver are reading this, it was fun attempting to make contact.. maybe next time (this is why I don't play basketball - or play those toss and throw games at King's Dominion)
Another funny note - tried a meet-n-greet tag at the Giant Food plaza in Vienna on Maple Avenue Saturday night; and low and behold it was already a DCMM member (2 months new)!! Please show up to any events you can; all the events are a blast .

Back on June 19, in the Largo Town Center parking lot we saw a (I think it was Silver MCS) at the drive through for the bank right by David's Bridal. We were the BRG/W MCS with Vermont tags; waved and received a wave in return!

This is all within about a five minute timespan. They're so ubiquitous around here, people don't even wave anymore.
I dunno if the IB/W w/dark tint was me or not, but I'm usually there at the Fridays, friend's a bartender...

Hi everyone... new to the boards but I've been in the MINI for a while.

I work in Hunt Valley,MD and have seen quite a few MINIs around there:

2 BRG/W - one with bonnet stripes (thank you for waving), 1 without
CR/W - nice lady driving it who gave me a very pleasant wave (I saw you in Cockeysville by the IHOP and you had to stop almost in the intersection because someone was broken down in front of you)

There is also a silver MINI that works in the building across form mine on Beaver Dam Rd, but I havent gotten close enough to get details.

Thanks to those of you who wave

I spotted a PW/B MC this afternoon coming back to Reston from the Sox game, cute young female driver. I forget if it was on 95 or 495. I think it was on 95. Then there was also an EB/W MCS that was loaded full with passengers and a dog...and had the brakelight mod. Both with Maryland plates I think.

2005 PS/PS MCSa (like mine) @ Lowes in Bowie. I parked next to you when I went in and your car was still there when I left.

Today, around 6 PM-ish, turning onto Fairfax Co. Parkway from Rt. 1, I spied a BRG/W Cooper w/ white racing stripes behind me. Oh yeah, it was a 1969 classic! Or so you said as we were passing each other! *Nice* Mini!!!

It was really cool passing and catching up to each other checking one another out!

I know whatcha mean.. but every time I see someone, they're old and minding their own business. ther should be some windshield banners with DCMM or something so I know I can wave to them.

Wow, somebody else has a Purple Haze Mini???? The only other time I've seen one was on the Towson lot......

By the way, those of you out on the roads of Montgomery County need to practice how to move your hand back and forth in a waving motion. I've had a couple of Mini drivers around Gaithersburg look at me like I've grown a third head when I wave

if not for seatbelts... you could spell out "D C M M" with your arms like dancing to the song "Y.M.C.A." tho' I'd only suggest doing it while stopped at a light/sign.

or buy a "Hey Horn" from www.MOTORmate.com , I know Paul is.

You: Hyper Blue MCS with USMC Tags exclaiming: PSYOPS2
Me: CR MCS gave you the cool guy "what up" wave/head nod (come on all guys know it), but got nothing in return.
Where: Rte. 1 South in Dumfries by Quantico

Is this your idea of psychological warfare, ignoring your MCS brethren?

NOTE FOR ALL: Is it widely known you should acknoledge another MC/MCS?
I know for Jeep Wrangler owners its basically drilled in our heads from your first Jeep event to give the Jeep Wave (just google Jeep Wave and you won't believe the amount of copy given to the subject).

... maybe its because we do not have a universal Cooper wave (or do we and I don't even know about it)?

If not I think we at DCMM should lead the charge into establishing a universal hi-sign!
