Wow, I guess I haven't been to any events in a while because someone left me a DCMM card under the wiper blade while I was @ Target in the Long Gate plaza in Columbia, MD around noon yesterday. Who left the card on my IB/IB S? Thx.

No, I'm not a member. I hate labels. Guess I should pony up the $$$ and keep the card-chuckers away! I'll head on over to the website now...

Marty,

I hate labels and stickers, too. I don't want any on my car but DCMM logo is on a cling and can be easily put on the window and removed without leftover glue.

Since I had a couple of the Parade signs in my car I am placing one of them on my dash while the car is parked and remove it before motoring away.

You cannot miss the sign and people know that my Little One is part of a large group

You: two MINI rally coming off the Toll Road heading North on 28. One of you was a CR MINI and the other a DS.

You didn't wave.

Me? Well, I was the nutty person waving furiously until it dawned on me I was in my subaru outback and not my MINI. (blushes)

Well, who did I embarass myself in front of THIS time.

what are the chances...

OK this morning I saw a MINI Cooper S Convertible exactly like mine.

The weird thing was that 1.) I am never on Route 50W on a Monday morning , 2) I am almost never motor with my top up.. 3) I never saw a MCSC Dark Silver (w/o bonnet stripes or similar).. then at 8:38 am I noticed my Little One's twin sister... three cars ahead.
After 4 miles I caught up the driver as he was turning on 495. Waved and Waved beep my horn FINALLY he gave me a brief wave back.

Yesterday on the same route 50E at 9:45 am I saw a Liquid Yellow MINI entering the motorway. I waved and he immediately start motoring behind me...
I got off at Bowie to follow the twisty road to Annapolis... I wish there were a way to tell him to follow me: we could have twisted together

Carded a LY/W MCS

That I saw parked at a Vet office in Bowie on my way home from work. I swear I do this now like a habit.

I see a MINI. I see no DCMM sticker and so I card it

Didn't really get a good look at you yesterday, but you were parked on Van Buren in University Park. You were a DS/B MCS (I believe). I just drove by and at the last minute saw you were parked on the left hand side (that is because I was turning off from Rt. 1 in College Park)

5:45am today on 450 just outside of Bowie. MCS DS with sportlink bike rack sticking out of the boot bumper. I tried to get your attention before you went to turn onto 495. Oh well

Yesterday went for a drive ... somewhere in MD near Solomon's Island ... because I was bored and ended up on Rt. 4 near Bristow (??) Road. As I was waiting to turn on to Bristow, you passed DS/B MC(S?). I think we made glances at each other, but I could be wrong.

BTW - that road I was on, even tho it was just a HUUUUGE circle, is VERY twisty...almost skidded off onto the road on one of the turns!

British Racing Green MINI...

Was it you I saw yesterday afternoon on Veirs Mill Rd just before Connecticut Ave. in MD. I was the one in the All Black MINI waving crazy and grinning wildly. So rare that someone reciprocates a wave to me, so I got excited.

I was singing with my 3 year old in the back seat, so I could not wave for long. Wish more people would wave.

Black convertible travelling south on 97, through Severna Park. Wife saw you, I didn't, so thats all I know.

Dark Blue (sorry, dont have all the blues memorized yet ) with black bonnet stripes travelling west on 50, east of 301, owner had a bright green shirt, and a convertible top, just like his Mini.

It was me... I was just coming from the bank and on my way to ocean city, when i spotted you. I got out and didnt see a window cling, so i carded you. Ive now carded two MINIs and personally handed out a card to a gentleman with a BRG/W mini. He seemed very interested, so we will have to see if he joins our group.

Okay, confession time.

I've checked this thread almost compulsively the last two days to see if someone posted the ignorant thing I did in my MINI to another MINI. No one has, but the guilt is getting to me! So here is my confession.

On Monday morning I was heading into work (around 8:30am). I was driving Eastbound on the toll road (from the greenway) and got off on Exit 10 (Centreville Road). There you were, not only in a MINI, but in an identical pure silver/black MINI Cooper in the left-hand turn lane with the front of your car angled out and half way into the right hand turn lane. I didn't know what you were trying to do and before I could think, my NYC driving instincts took over and I completely buzzed around and past you driving entirely too fast. In my rearview mirror, I belatedly noticed that you must have been in the wrong lane, because you were trying to get into my lane.

And instead of being a nice MINI driver, I completely cut you off and buzzed past you. Though, I may point out, you did not have your turn signal on!

So please excuse me for my breach of etiquette. (*whew* I feel much better getting that off my chest!). Jen - please don't revoke my membership!

^ She's funny

Anyhoo, saw you last night on 95 N near the Calverton exit. You: CR/W MC. Saw you as I semi-zoomed passed you in the fast lane. I looked over but it was dark and I couldn't tell if you waved or not. VA tags.

This morning, PS/B and a dark blue (I can't remember the color name)/W driving north on the B/W Parkway (295) around 8ish. You in the dark blue looked in my direction, but not sure if you saw me wave. Ah well. I refuse to give up hope that one day I will get a wave in return!

If you ever see this clown...

...don't be scared, it's just me. Of course, I usually don't transport fish while I'm driving. Only under the most extenuating of circumstances...
