I just traded emails with the organizer of the Capital Hill parade and we're welcomed back.

Capitol Hill Parade Location and Mtg time
8:15 - 8:30 off Ohio drive in Potomac Park.

Coming from VA you'll take I-395 North across the 14th Street Bridge. Take the US Park Police exit. At the end of the road, make a right. Make another right at the river (it's the only way you can go). The lot will be on your right past the Park Police Headquarters Building between the two railroad bridges.

Coming from DC, Enter Potomac Park behind the Bureau of Engraving and Printing and go past the Jefferson Memorial (it should be on your right with I-395 on your left) Make the first left past the Jefferson Memorial onto Ohio Drive. The lot will be on your left between the two railroad bridges. We will leave the Park for the parade formation at 8:45 am sharp and for the staging area.

Check in a 9am at 8th and I SE at the underpass.
Parade begins at 10am, north on 8th, left on D at Starbucks, Right on 7th, cross Penn, end at 7th and North Carolina, just past Eastern Market." ...

"There is no fee for the parade, but I am asking that participants bring something for us to sell at our bake sale to benefit our school PTA which is a sponsor of the parade."

 

I'm not sure if I'll be able to attend (will know soon) but would be willing to bake cookies for the sale. Mark, I could bring them to you the day before.

We're in! We decided to leave for NYC on Saturday.

 

I'm stunned and amazed at the lack of RSVP's for this and Capital Hill. They've been well attended and a lot of fun in past years...

THere is a slight possibility of me attending, however, I don't feel like decorating my car. If someone wants to do that for me, then it's more likely I will attend lol.

Heheh....actually I thought this was the Annapolis parade thread...are people going to both?

Oh well, I just emailed the organizer and warned her that our turnout was looking to be somewhere between apathetic and pathetic.

 

Just updated the first post with the info on where everyone would be to gather if they were coming which they're not. But if we get some late additions the info is there on where we'll pre-stage.

Y'all don't know what you're missing. Parades are fun.

I am a new owner--Chili Red cabrio. interested in the cap hill parade as i live in nw DC. Do I need to register and, if so, with whom?

 

All you have to do is rsvp via the link on the DCMM calendar and you're all set. They are requesting a baked good for their bake sale...

I hope a few more people will show up for the Capitol Hill Parade..

Their flyers and paper AD has already listed the participation of the
MINI COOPERS CLUB of CAPITOL HILL

The first year (5 yrs ago) it was just my ' 1 month old 03 DS -MCS and a SG MC - It was a lot of fun !!!

 

I hope so too, but if not, it's just more Adulation and Love for myself and "The MINI"

 

I wish I could make it. Last year me and my family had a blast.

Cricket is clean and partially decorated. I have cookies (store bought, I ran out of time). We're ready to go!!

 

"The MINI" is clean too. I didn't get out to get the baked goods (as I just got home a few minutes ago) but I'll stop and get something in the a.m.
