[Sun, May 18th] MINIs BY THE BAY V
Date, time and location, please.
Ed,
Another good day! Great roads as always(no mud or water), and I
believe we all appreciate the lengths you had to go through to find
roads that didnt require a Navy Seal to get us through high and dry!
See everyone soon(and some next Sun.)

Great run. Thanks, Ed. Your efforts were much appreciated.
Did anyone manage to snap some good photos despite the showers? I can't believe I keep forgetting to bring my camera.
Did someone say Indian food? Sign me up!

Thanks everybody for the kind words. It's folks like you that make it worth all the effort!
Speaking of effort and thanks, I think we all need to make it a point to thank the folks who make stuff in this club happen, especially behind the scenes. Top of the list is Maxicooper... he's the first one to have a kind word to say about everything and everyone, is always offering up new ideas for fun things to do, and is the most visible representative of this club making it a fun group. Thanks, Chris. You're the BEST!
Event organizers, like the folks working on the picnic have been putting in untold hours of getting price quotations, planning for contingencies, doing site inspections, driving more miles than even they know to put together a great route, and generally sweating out the details so the rest of us can just show up and either drive a spectacular route, or show up at the park and eat. And eat some more. Unlimited food for one low price. Gotta love that. If I miss someone I apologize, but I know some of the folks involved include Glenn, Christine, Laura, and Chris. Please let me know who I missed and I'll edit this post. I know how hard you folks have worked on this picnic, and I hope we have enough paid participants to make it happen.
But there are a bunch of folks behind the scenes who we don't see or hear from very much who work just as hard to keep the club moving forward. As a relative newcomer, I don't know everyone who has served as an officer or exactly what everyone does, but I know how much work it takes, how much drudgery there is, how many unpleasant situations and people they have to deal with, and they do it for free. Very few of us are willing to put ourselves through the discomfort of serving as a club officer, and in addition to thanking them all publicly, I'd suggest that we each make it a point to thank each one of them personally next time we see them for all they do.
It's easy to take pot shots at individuals for things we hear or posts we read, but seldom do we have all the background information that led up to that point. It's much harder to step up and serve as an officer, and I hope we all remember to acknowledge them for all their contributions. You guys rock!

Awesome job, Enrique! The music is perfect (blue sky, perfect day), scene blending and merging is great, and even the camera angle at the end captured everybody filing into the lot. You're a master!
