[Sun, May 25th @ 10am] Memorial Day Weekend: We All Scream For Ice Cream Run

Hey everybody!

Today I did the final course adjustments and distance measurements for a new run that I concocted while I've been off work.

Seems there is nothing scheduled for Memorial Day Weekend so I am planning on doing this run on Sunday, May 25th. I think that that would be the best choice because there wouldn't be as much traffic as Monday and you'd still have a day to rest up after the run (it's loonnngggg, read below). There is a good possibility that I'll be forced to work on Saturday so I don't want to plan for that day and have to cancel.

Okay now about the route:

Distance- 168 miles

Start-Wegman's at Hunt Valley Mall

Start- 10:00 AM

We'll travel through northern Baltimore County, Harford County, Cecil County and a little bit of Pennsylvania for good measure.

Same type of roads as my other runs.

The run ends at a dairy store outside of Belair, www.bbdairy.com . They serve soup, sandwiches and incredibly delicious ice cream. A perfect treat for the end of the run.

That Sunday is the DCMM Board meeting. Although at 168 miles, maybe we catch up with you later in the day.

Maybe you can all meet earlier at Wegman's for the meeting and then join us after business is finished.

Or... you can do a live boardcast of the meeting during the run. JK.

Boy, I'd hate to miss this, but Sundays are usually golf days during the summer. I'm already going to miss golf for the June 1st picnic, and the following weekend we are planning on going to VIR for the Gold Cup. So many things to do, so little time.

my guess is a "no" on that. The meeting will be the 1st since the board was elected, so we'll have a lot to cover. Not only that, it'll be at my house...waaaay over in Severna Park.
Sorry guys, the board will be a no-show for this, but y'all have fun and eat lots of ice cream for us!

His last run, there were 2,000+ turns. This time will be 3 times the distance ........ over 6,000 turns.

Looks interesting....168 miles total round trip? Any idea about what time we'll be back at the wegman's? And we aren't going to be driving anywhere near or through Frederick are we?

The 168 mile figure is for total trip distance.

It's not a roundtrippy kind of run. More of a Point A to Point B type.

We finish up a little northeast of Belair in Harford County. We'll be a few miles down the road from an exit for 95 so going back home won't be a problem.

I'm figuring between 5 & 6 hours for the run. So we should be eating ice cream by 4:00.

No, we'll be nowhere near Frederick.

Come on and join the fun!

We'll be meeting upstairs at Wegman's.

Just make sure you have a full gas tank and an empty bladder.

I will bring my family along to help me count.

You're right. That is my Twistometer.

The more the bags were used, the more twisties and more fun the route was.
