The best way is to order from one of the NAM members, do some reading and install yourself

What if you're lazy and would rather pay someone to do it for you

bc I'm about to change my stripes to different ones...

D&L Window Tinting on Route 40 or Joppa road will charge you $100 to remove and install a new set of a stripes. I don't know how much you are looking to spend. Call around other tint shops, they all should be well versed with vynal.

I'll do it for $95.

Best vinyl stripes come from one of the vendors here on NAM. I prefer Aesthetic Creations simply because they're the only vendor I've used for my stripes and I know they're good.

Seriously, installing them is not hard. I'd hate to see you waste $100. Now, my checkered roof, THAT is a big job and it was $120 to install. Stripes are a hundred times easier.

I just reaaaally dont want to install them
especially since the boot stripes he has arent made for cabrios, so i have to do the cut-out...

Since when did Mike stop making boot stripes for the cabrio ?? As of 9 months ago, he did. Made putting them on my convertible very easy.

That's odd. As far as I knew, Mike can make pretty much anything on vinyl and if it's making it, he has the template to cut out the hinges for the cabrio. I say that because mine were custom made and came with the cutouts.

I'd ask him again, to be sure.

And yeah, I can see where cutting them out yourself would be a bit of a pain.

Bring me your MINI, the stripes, and a six-pack and we'll have those stripes done in no time. Just don't let me drink until AFTER the stripes get done.

I still needta make an order w/ Prima to get her clean and figure out where to buy the stripes. I've been looking at all kinds of websites like Aesthetic Creations, Cooper Flags, OutMotoring... yadda, yadda... =) Not only am i a NAM addict since getting my MCS, i'm just an online junkie. period!
Thanks for the offer!

EDIT: Wow,CR&PW&JB - you're a whole hour from me!

Depending on which part of Rockville, yeah, it might be an hour.

The offer stands... just PM me if and when you get to the point of wanting help with the stripes install.

Have you put them on a lot? I'm assuming since you have 3 mini's, you're used to doing this kinda thing. Do you know what you're doing??

I've installed two sets of boot stripes and one set of bonnet stripes.

I've made one mistake along the way. Learned from that and now I am sure I could install stripes with my eyes closed. Well, maybe not, but you get the idea.

Hmmmmmmm... that WOULD be tricky. I'm not sure how to go about that. Can't use the hinge and trace around it. Trying to measure the hinge and then cut would also be tough because it's slanted, not straight up.

Ask Mike from AC to send you a template of the hinges when he sends you those stripes. If he says no, tell him I will have words with him. He has enough of my money, after all !
