FEELER: Next DCMM Swag

Hello all. I read a thread MINInurse started back in '07 asking for ideas on swag for us and one came up with bags. I like the idea because I want to get away from the plastic grocery bags and start using canvas bags. I am thinking of the canvas ones that you can use to carry your groceries in and such without the zipper. They are slightly taller than your typical bag. What do you all think?

Also, I am looking into license plate frames now. They would be plastic and hopefully in 4 colors: BLACK, BLUE, RED, WHITE. Hopefully we can get it to work out.

Let me know what you think of the bag idea

I like it! I am also trying my best to move away from plastic bags when I go shopping. Eco-conscious swag....me like.

I'd also be interested in the plate frames of course...but how likely do we think it will happen? Not to nag or rush...just curious since I was about to order the oem MINI ones at Morristown.

DCMM Floormats?

I'm trying to think of what sorts of stuff people often like to have in or on their car.

We are looking into the license plate frame, I can't tell you how long it would be because we just started thinking about it. I say go ahead and get a frame, I just did too

lots of good ideas!
I like the license plate frame idea. I only have one now that represents my college =) (just grad in May 07)

Bags would be cool too. There is always a use for a canvas bag!

i LOVE the idea of hoodies though. Being freshly outta college, i live in them! Awesome idea!

I know we already have a DCMM tshirt but i haven't received mine yet to know what they look like. Maybe a different designed tshirt? Or long sleeve, if they're short sleeve...??

yes, yes, yes, yes!

These are ALL great ideas and all things that we are going to look into for future ideas. There will hopefully be some good things coming out soon.

If you have any design ideas, I open it up to YOUR creativity! So go ahead and start playing with ideas. I know you all have some really good ideas in your head, put them down on paper or the screen and send it our way. We can see what we can do with the designs!

I started a mountain bike club called MORE many moons ago and one thing we did was to do a group buy on swag. If members wanted an certain item, like a bike jersey, we would price it out, collect the money and then purchase the jersey.

It would be if we could try that with Polo shirts with the club logo

Just my 2 cents

Thanks Brian

Embroidery is more expensive than screen printing, so polos could be a little pricey. But I would love to see them too and we will look into it.

Any swag we do will be group buys, that is really the only way we can purchase these items, since we are not purchasing in mass bulk to keep in stock.

The place I work purchases a lot t-shirts, polos, hats with our logo and we use a company in Great Falls. When you decide on what you might do, I could pass her name along and hopefully she can give use a good price. She deals in all kinds of promotional/company logo items and can probably get anything you can think of.

Just let me know if you are interested and I will get the info.

B.

I vote we create a permanent ban on DCMM Speedo's!!!

I'm just preempting anyone who might suggest it!

First, this question: How many people think it would be nice to have a clipboard in the car to hold run sheets whenever we do a run?

Depending on 'yes' responses to that question, maybe clipboards with the DCMM logo on the top or the back - whaddaya think?

More ideas:
Pint glasses / shot glasses
keychains

How about sheets of stickers with the oval or round logo about an inch in diameter? I know my kid would have a field day with those lol. We can also personalize just about anything we want.

Tank tops for the ladies, sleeveless tees for the men? I love the idea of either...
...but I can't pull off a tank top.

I'd also buy the hoodie, aloha shirt and the canvas bag.

This is kind of different than what you all are talking about but I'd like to see smaller swag items. Things we can give out free to participants at events to thank them for coming out. Nothing major....pens, notepads, lanyards, pins or even those Lance Armstrong silicone braclets...etc.

I know Stacey said we don't inventory anything but as a future event organizer, I'd love the option to approach DCMM and ask for something to hand out to people. Plus it'd be nice to have a choice.

Just a thought....

Oh, how about coffee mugs?

Glenn

A traditional English Pint glass with DCMM Logo and NAM or Car name would be nice
