Yeah, it's time for our winter activity.

Event: Snow Tubing fun and Twisties Run.

Location: Boulder Ridge Snow Tubing,
Liberty Mountain Resort & Conference Center,
Carroll Valley, PA.

Activities: Snow Tubing and mini MINI Run.






Meeting location:Meeting time: @ 9am

Snow tubing schedule: 12pm - 2pm
Lunch: 2pm - 3pm

Cost: $36.- , included 2 hours of Prime time tubing ticket, tube rental, lunch party (pizzas, snacks, etc.), private party room @ Pebble Ridge, tax and gratuity.
Please bring cash.

9am. meet at Starbucks Coffee. 899 W 7th St, Frederick, MD

A signed release is required for all tubing participants. Participants under 18 require parental signature.

9.30am. depart, motoring north through the hills and twisties of Thurmont and Cunningham falls state park.
11am. arrived and ready to have fun.
12pm - 2pm, The fun begin.

• 100% fun with zero effort: enjoy all the fun of zooming down the perfectly carved lane and relax on the moving carpet as it conveys you and your tube back to the top.
• Don't have to be an expert skier or boarder to have fun tubing: anyone can tube, even if you've never so much as set foot on snow before!
• It's fun for the entire family! From the kids ages 5 and up to the grandparents, this is an inexpensive, fun way to pass the winter days. There's even a separate kiddie tubing hill for children ages 4 and under.

2 - 3pm. Lunch time.

Afterwards it you free time!

Me!!! Assuming the weather cooperates, almost 70 today. Bizarre!!

 

I'd be up for it if its on a weekend.

 

I'm thinking about 2nd weekend or last weekend of Feb.

Massanutten Resort, Va. seems to be the best in the area, but they are very very busy.
Liberty Mountain Resort (ski Liberty), Pa. is the closest to our area, easy to access.

 

I thought Wisp was the closest? Had a decent time there myself.

 

From your area (Alexandria), Wisp is about 160 miles. Ski Liberty is about 90 miles.

I had a really bad experience on the slopes long time ago. Now I'm scared.

By the way, how does Sunday, February 24th sound to you all ?(snow date, Sat, March 1st). I think Liberty Mountain Resort seems to fit the bill, it's not too far at all either, (a little more than an hour from Md, hour and a half from Arlington).

They had a good package for party of 10 or more.

 

Hmm.... and if the roads are not too bad on the day (good weather, no snow/salt, etc.), we can arrange a mini MINI run, on the way to get there.
Catoctin mountain's back roads are always fun to drive.

(used to teach snowboarding)
