This sounds like fun. Waiting to see if the gf will go, then we'll rsvp. Anyone up for a weekday ski run to Liberty? We could meet somewhere around DC early in the morning and zoom up for first tracks... once there is actually snow... base is like 10 inches right now?

 

Sounds like a plan. I have to go up there for a route-checking for the run on the snow tubing day. Last week of January is open for me, let me know.

Btw, how early when you said early in the morning.

Its looking like I'll be out in New Mexico around this time, thumbs down for MINI but thumbs up for flying ! Right now they're saying the week of Feb 11th for two weeks total so I'd miss MOT but make tubing. But I know how these things work, I probably won't leave till the 24th !

Correction: The total cost will be $36. I forgot to include sales tax and gratuity into the cost.

 

I was scoping out the area on Google Earth, they've got the winter map up!! So, you can see the snow. What are the conditions along the route looking like so far and what do ya think they'll be like by the end of Feb.?

 

Maaaaaaaan... I want to go tubing so bad!

Can I go with you guys just to watch? I made a resolution of sorts to get out more and enjoy life after the completion of a dangerous overseas assignment and current (unrelated) medical concerns. But it's those same medical concerns that preclude me from snow tubing. I can still rule the bends though! About as well as any non-S-type can. *Sigh* I'd love to drive those twisties and see you guys play in the snow, but would they let this cripple dork just stand around and watch?

God I'm so lame.

It was nice outside and I had some free time this afternoon.
Oh well, I couldn't resist, so I went out for a quick run to re-check the roads for the tubing run.
The route is not long, total of 45 miles, but definitely fun.
