VinylStyles - New Vendor

Some DCMM members asked me if I knew some one who provided a headlight ring blackout. For those who asked:

VinylStyles - I meet Lyle Beckwith at AMVIV and was immediately impressed with the quality of his work and his ideas. He seems to have quite a following - our conversation was interrupted a couple times with people reminding him to come by so they could place an order. I was also impressed with the entrepreneur outlook and vision of this 24 year old. He has been building his business slowly and has taken the next step by advertising on NAM on a regional basis.

For some of the best "dechroming" Take a look at his products if you haven't already

Very cool! I'm going to check out a custom WINO badge for the hood.

I really like the tinted-head lamps and dechroming (look good from the pictures).

Do they have any plan to come to this area for group install?

Looks good, but $90 to wrap black 'tape' on my door handles seems a bit silly. Now if it was powdercoating...

Its worth its weight in gold. The vinyl he uses is top notch and his work is always perfect. It holds up better than most paints to rock chips.

IMO, worth every penny.

Hey all,

Thanks for the kind words, and thanks Sam for this thread!

I understand why the costs may seem pricey, but wrapping pieces with such contour is a pretty time consuming process. I look at the work I do as my art.
I would be glad to send out vinyl for those who wish to give this a shot.

We do plan on attending the Dragon and will be giving discounts for pre-orders.

Feel free to contact us anytime!

Thanks,

Lyle

Installation instructions?

Lyle,

Do you provide installation instructions with the pieces? For instance, changing the door handles, changing the gas cap, etc?

I'm sure there are some instructions floating around NAM, but it'd be great if you send the details along with the part.

Nice looking work, by the way.

John

Hey John,

Thanks!

We include write-ups for the headlight rings, tail light rings, belt line, and a few others. The gas cap is probably the easiest piece to remove.
As for the door handles, there is a really good write-up that can be found here: http://www.motoringunderground.com/f...ead.php?t=8000
We will be installing some door handles on an R56 this friday, so we will be able to work on a write up for that.

Duh! Shoulda figured that one out!

e30 - We have headlight tint for the R56 but it is not a fit overlay. It needs to be heated and stretched over the lens.

I guess a reference to greater suburban Cherry Hill wouldn't provide a good reference point.....
Hmmm... Any further to the southeast and you're swimming
