Hi all....

I guess a lot of guys r interested in Pixar "Cars" eyes sunshade .. why don't we all gather n request 1 of the known companies to manufacture this sunshade for our minis .. Please, if anyone is interested lets work together to find someone who can make us this with verity of mini colors. here is an example for it....

Looks like WE are not the only ones clamoring after these, over @ the RX8 Forum they are trying to find them too. One guy plunked down $32.50 on FleeBay for one??!!

 

There is a company that produced the mylar ones. They are great but they are WAY too big for the MINI. One of my employees bought me one for my Thunderbird convertible. Unfortunately it doesn't have any tags or stamps with manufacturer's information. Target carried them back in '05/06 when the movie was released through the DVD release. Good Luck...will follow this thread to see what you guys come up with. If I can find anything I'll update as well.

 

How 'bout getting yer portrait took 'longside the original? Ol' Mater is parked right on Rt 66 right where the Pixar guys found him.

 

Ya i have seen this but its not the same as the one in the pic plus it wont suit it coze of the size

thx for the link .. i guess ya this company r the right company to ask them to do it but 1 person wont be enough to convince them to do it .. im not from the US nor Europe but i will contact them n please guys try to do .. so they will see that there is a big demand n try to spread this thread to gather as more as we can from mini guys

You must have seen the Pixar movie "Cars". That old tow truck parked in Galena and Dean Walker in Baxter Springs who can turn his feet backwards which inspired Mater's reverse driving habits are both parked along Rt 66 in Southeast Ks. The Pixar guys met them both as they explored the route. We met the old guy at the Baxter Springs museum and he gave a demonstration right there for everybody gathered. This all predates the Cars inspired sunshades. Lots of folks park and get their picture taken with Mater.

I just gave one in perfect condition to a member and told him to just pay it forward.

There are some out there... I bought mine from a member for 35 bucks and it still had the State Farm cardboard on it.

Not sure if anyone is interested still, but I am going to get a bunch of these eyes sunshades made up, custom to each MINI's color and expression in my own style.
