How long did your tires last?

Hmmmm, my 2012 ALL4 S has only 24,000 miles and stock tire is almost gone and needs to be replaced before the winter.

What is actual life of these tires and 24K seems to be very low.

I'm thinking about replacing Non-RFT tires and what would be your recommendation?

I only got 24k miles out of my ContiPro Contact SSR's on my Hardtop. Most of the run flat tires that I've seen don't have a stated mileage. Run flats simply don't last long enough and they are too expensive, thus the reason a lot of people switch to regular tires.

Thanks for the quick response. I think, these tires really suck. Do you have any recommendation for the regular tires?

Why do you prefer 16 instead of 17 inch wheels?

205 55 ZR16's are a taller tire than the 195 55 16's that I have now. 205 50 16 would be about the same diameter. So......16's will fit my existing wheels but 17's might rub

Sorry, but that was on my Hardtop that I traded in. I currently have Pirelli Cinturato P7 summer performance tires on my Countryman and I've not heard too much good about their lifespan either. I just bought a dedicated winter wheel set from Tirerack.com with Bridgestone Blizzaks. When warm weather comes back around I will probably run the Pirelli's till they need replaced then possibly go with non run flat tires.

i had the pirelli p7 summers on my all4 size 225/45R18 ... at about 8,000 miles (and about half worn), they got very loud, so loud that i replaced them

now running michelin pilot super sports size 225/50R18 non-rf and am much happier

Thread: How long did your tires last?

i had the Conti RFT and they went about 17k before the cupping and wear became an issue
i wrongly assumed the dealer was rotating at service stops- they want $0 plus to rotate the tires and they mentioned after the tires wore out that they should be done every3k miles because of the toe-in on these cars

i switched to reg tires and it made a big difference- highly recommended
very happy with the conti dws from discount- and i've been rotating every 3k miles-i'm over 35k now and still rollin well

I replaced my contis at 24k. They still had tread but we're riding worse and worse. They had maybe 3-5000 miles left, but they had to go.
