Bridgestone tire dealer swap tires on a brand new CMS?

Since a lot of us loathe our run flats, has anyone been able to negotiate a swap with a tire dealer to go to a non run flat? I would gladly swap out the 18" Duelers for a set of Pole Positions. The retail price difference is around $100 a tire.
If you pick up your car and drive strait to the tire store down the street, what would they say???

The tires lose a significant portion of their value as soon as the car is driven out of the factory because at that point they are used and cannot be sold as new.

The tire doesn't even have to touch the ground. Once it is mounted to a rim it is "used". Some places will give you something towards a new set but, not very much since they will try to turn a profit off of them. Your best bet is to sell them yourself on Craigslist! You would most likely get double what a tire store wold offer you!

Update:
I called the Firestone service center, and was told that they cannot sell tires that are already mounted. However, I did line up a set of Bridgestone RE050A Pole Positions 225/45-18 for less than $400 out the door with road hazard and lifetime balance and rotation. The new generation tires are coiming out. I will keep my RTFs and see if I can sell them.

I purchased the tires in Jacksonville at the Firestone dealer. They are discontinuing the RE050 and are just getting rid of invenory. It might be worth a call to your locl dealer to see what they can do for you. They are shipping the tires in from Savannah, GA for me.
