Oh my gosh, what a great day we had today. Seven members of Country Roads Minis gathered this morning at Almost Heaven Desserts and laid out the days drive to beautiful Canaan Valley. We had a great weather day and the WV twisties were great thanks to John's trip plan.
We stopped at the smallest church in the lower 48 states and Adam, our resident photograher, took tons of photos along the way. Can't wait to see those posted here. Then on to Thomas, WV for some great shopping at the local antiques shops and local artisan hand crafted shops. Some really cool stuff. Then it was time to stop at Siriannis Pizza for some good food--poor Jim had to wait forever on his to be served.

We stopped at Blackwater Falls State Park and took the long walk down to the main falls for some photos. Finally, back to Thomas for a great afternoon concert by Leify Green who really did an extra encore performance for us and it was fun to listen and meet him. He actually sat at our table and talked to all of us. Then back home for some deserved rest for our Minis and good memories.

Thanks to: Lee(who got hot coffee dumped on her by accident at the coffee shop), John, Adam, Jim & Sue and Joyce for a truly nice day with our Minis and each other. This is just the beginning as our club grows and grows. If you are reading this and are in the North Central Region of WV, come join us for the fun and friendshiip. You'll be glad you did. Dan.

Sorry I missed out on this. Ended up working late Friday night/Saturday morning and didnt get into bed until after 0330. Hopefully I can make a future meet up.
