MINI Cooper, Larini Sports System:
Our clever design ensures that with increasing revs the tone, note, and volume also increase. Decrease throttle opening, and volume levels reduce. Our system does have more volume than the original but it is not offensive, simply offering one of the most satisfying ‘tuned’ exhaust notes. Our free-flow box internals allow torque and power gains while maintaining driveability. Fit and finish are better than original:
-A Stainless Steel ‘Sports’ exhaust system, from the ‘cat’ back.
-Expertly engineered for both ‘fast road’ and ‘normal road’ use.
- Engineered for greater flow efficiency, using larger diameter pipework and internal ‘straight-through’ silencer pipe work.
- Offers better quality sound across the rev range.
- Offers improved low/mid-range Torque
- Offers much sharper throttle response
- 5-7% bhp power gain
- Perfectly practical for everyday use
- Produces the beautiful, authentic Larini ‘Note’ under acceleration
- Produces a fantastic ‘tone’ in keeping with the sporting heritage of Mini
- Does not vibrate or produce excessive volume at idle or cruising speeds
- Dubbed, ‘The Gentleman’s Sports Exhaust’
- Constructed using aircraft grade T.304 Austenitic Stainless Steel
- Precision engineered for accurate fit
- Require no special procedures to fit
Double skinned, 'flush seam' welded box for maximum durability and sound control
-Features 'Satina' polished and 'Lime Chalk' waxed pipe work, for improved aesthetics.
-Features Mandrel bent pipe-work allowing a constant internal diameter, maintaining smooth, constant gas flow.
- Features highly polished box casings, offering a ‘chromium’ type finish, for improved aesthetics
- 100% Tig welding construction
- Precision, laser cut, mounting flanges and brackets, for easy fit and removal
- Tailpipe section features a 100mm ‘Mirror’ Polished, outwardly rolled, Round Tip
- Supported by the Larini Systems Lifetime Warranty

Hmmm, it sounds pretty good until I get to the description of the tip. Nearly 4" with an "outwardly rolled" lip? I don't think I've ever seen an outwardly rolled tip but it doesn't sound so good to me.... I guess I'll have to stay on the fence for a while longer.
We have just sent an email to Larini,
asking for tip picture and tip options,
What do you think of the cooper S tips?
I might order our next shipment with these tips.
thanks

Victor, this is in no way intended to be a reflection on you or your company, but the Larini system appears to be nothing more than a piece of bent pipe and a one-size-fits-all muffler with some hangers strap mounted. No engineering whatsoever. That type of system could be duplicated by just about any muffler shop for considerably less money.
One man's opinion.
And, again, I know you don't make them, so please don't take offense.

No offense taken,
As you mentionned, we are not the ones making the product, we are a Larini distributor and just would like to make all their products available to the US customers.
But are right, the cooper is a relatively simple exhaust, what differences Larini from the other exhausts available is the quality of materials and wormanship.
When we looked at distributing an exhaust, for us the choice was very simple, Larini was the only company to offer the best quality at a reasonable cost, they also stand behind their products.
We have total confidence in the Larini Exhaust

It's probably more than coincidence that nearly every system out there looks a lot like this one. On a Cooper there's only room for one silencer and it has to fit into a relatively small spot. Yes, I know you already know this stuff, but I've seen more than one vendor/manufacturer write about how tight the fit is and how they had to switch from the can they planned to use to something......well......a lot like the one in that Larini pic. The pic isn't clear enough to show details so quality is really impossible to guess at, but I admit the strap/hangers don't give a great impression.
