TBOB,
I'm the Prototype MC he's referring to here.
Keep in mind that a dyno run will be a bit skewed since my Cooper does not currently have a stock exhaust. My MC is already fitted with a K&N Intake, a custom-fabricated Magnaflow exhaust, and Nology ignition wires (not sure if the wires make that big a difference).
A dyno run would show what it's done to my MINI but not necessarily across the board. At least it'd give you an idea of what's possible however.

Group buys are always nice if somebody volunteers to coordinate it.

Right now, the Megan MC Exhaust is still in prototype phase. Some folks will need to see and hear it before they decide to purchase. Performance gains may be another factor.

Stay tuned.

You're correct blacknblue, a before/after dyno run of your "modified" car probably isn't the best approach.

Maybe, when a production unit is available, someone with a "mostly" stock MINI will be willing to do a before/after dyno run?

I'm pretty sure I can arrange a pretty sizable discount for anyone who would be willing to Dyno their car Before and After. But I don't know if my boss is willing to pay for the Dyno's, ya kno? I'll see what I can do when it comes in though.

I have a stock MC with no mods other than an Alta Foam filter. Too bad you guys are down in LA and I'm in Portland. I've been curious about dynoing my car for over a year now. If I had a free exhaust I'd be more than happy to pay for pre and post install dynos. With stock and A/M air filters. I'm also the VP of the PDXMINI.org, not that my oh so prestigious title carries any weight.

Wooo... that was good. Naw, I wish I could hand these out to fellow Mini Peoples... I'd love to see Megan Racing on Mini's everywhere. But I don't even get a Free exhaust, and I work here.

I would most definitely pay for the exhaust. The free exhaust was a total joke as you well know.

The R&D guy that has been getting all the feed back from us stated that there could be a discount on the system for whoever got a preproduction system tested on a dyno pre and post install. This is what I am interested in. I know that you would never send out a free exhaust.

Prototype coming in 1-2 weeks. So 30-45 days after that if it fits 100%.

What's the word on this and is there the possibility of an exhaust that will fit the Cooper cabrio?

I was wondering about this also since my '03 MC was used for the prototype.
Haven't yet received phone call from Steve regarding this. I'm sure it'll be soon though.

We're just waiting for the hard prototype to come in. They decided to randomly pop open our container to be searched at Customs so that set us back. This isn't a forgotten project and I am certainly pushing on for this... Immediately once it comes in, you'll all know, especially you Juan.

I am glad to see vendors catering to MC owners.

It seems that just about everyone has forgotten those of us who do not need a supercharger to be happy. Even Dynan has forgotten about us!

That's why I'm trying to focus more upon getting suspension mods out for the Mini Cooper because it will remain compatible with the MC's.

Yes, I'm pushing our performance parts for the MCS such as the Supercharger Pulley that's coming in... but I'm always up for more for the MC's.

In that case...

how about a battery box to allow replacement of the stock battery with one of the lightweight racing cells? Loose battery is one of the favorite things for my local autocross tech people to look for.

Please forgiveme, I am not trying to hyjack the thread but when MIB does get a suspension upgrade I plan on buying some springs, rollbars etc from people who have upgraded their MCS bits to aftermarket or JCW bits.

A friend totaled his MCS and I know who got the remains. Should be a good source for suspension bits.
