Okay, this may be out of left field, but if you have seen the 2003 version of 'The Italian Job,' you'll know what I'm talking about.

There is a scene shortly before they drive the three cars down into the metro station where the white Cooper drives up, and parks behind the other two cars. The sound of that car during that shot is what I think a Cooper should sound like.

So, how does this new Megan system sound compared to that film segment? Sorry if that's a ridiculous question, but if I don't ask, there's no chance of finding out, right?!

Thanks muchly,

Zip

The MINI's in the subway are electric, but I will have to check the scene out.

Most of the time the sound of cars is dubbed in after the fact.

Quite possibly not a MINI at all.

So this exhaust will be available sometime next month (August) for sure? I want to get one before summer ends. Hopefully before the next Mini meet.

I wasn't talking about the MINIs once they were underground. I was talking about the white one on the street.

Yes, I realize that, and I was curious about what made that particular sound, if any one knew, and if the Megan people, and/or blacknblue can very whether this new exhaust sounds anything like that. Thanks muchly.

In the 2003 Italian Job, yes, the MINI's are electric. Sadly, the dubbed them with the sound of Subaru engines. That nice growl is the sound of a Boxer 4.

Of the 32 MINIs used in the film, three of were specially constructed electric cars created and built exclusively for the underground metro scenes. The rest of them were 'normal' internal combustion engine cars.

Sound okay with you?
Have you had a chance to make a new sound clip?

That clip isn't very informative, although it does give a clue as to the quality of the sound. I'd like to hear it run up through the gears, and then a short cruise on the highway, if that's not too much to ask. Highway drone is not my cuppatea. =op

I do agree, highway drone gets to you on any trip over an hour.. but still worth it to me

You guys should run a special with the new exhaust and the Megan Racing MINI header...I'd buy both!

A MINI header? How does that work on an almost stock MINI? I have a K&N 57i intake. Would the new exhaust system, including this header, work in my car without further modification? If not, what else will it need?

Here's the link to the Megan Racing MINI header on Outmotoring.com

http://outmotoring.com/megan_racing_...er_header.html

I would hope it would work with the new exhaust but I'm not 100% sure. I'm also not too sure about any futher modifications...but maybe the Megan Racing vendor would help with some of these questions!

Help Megan Racing

All of our parts are designed to work within one another and within the OEM components.

When I do the group buy, I don't see why I can't throw some headers in there for an additional cost for those who would like them.

I like the Milltech on my S

The Milltech was a nice compromise with NO RICE! Nice sound, not too loud, good fit, improvement in midrange torque etc...one for the base MC would probably do well, as long as price was reasonable! Just my 2 cents

I would imagine the MC owner either did not want to spring for the S $$, or perhaps is a little more modest in his.her needs?? I Started with an MC...3 months later...an S!!! 1 Month later...MILLTECH

Of course the exhausts will be T-304 Stainless Steel, but we would like to know...

What size piping?

What style Muffler? (Canister/ Oval with Tip)

We feel it is important to listen to the needs and desires of the Mini Cooper community before we even get started on this project to better suit your needs. Please let us know so that we can begin development for your cars.
