They are leaving the docks overseas tomorrow, it takes them two weeks to get here. And then we gotta unload them and boom, ready.

I dunno if you guys noticed or not, but we've been having a bit of an issue with our suspension in the front of bottoming out, so I've been working on that basically night and day and I've been kinda out of the loop. I didn't forget about you guys though, so just know that it's coming and that IMMEDIATELY once I get a more firm ETA, the Group Buy will be initiated and I will be starting to get the ball rolling for you guys. I thank you for your patience in this matter.

Yeah, that still kinda bothers me.

What's this thing been in the works for - 6 months or so? I had asked, a while back, for sound of the car being run up through the gears, and a bit on the highway. That's about 30 seconds worth?

To some of you, the $350 that is this good deal may be chump change, but before I spend, I'd like to have some quantifiable reassurance that I'm gonna like the sound of what I am buying.

Am I being unreasonable?

No, and the lack of a responce from the vendor has me worried! I have even sent him a PM and there's no answer.

Well, regardless, I am sure there'll be enough people to plop down money, no questions asked, to make this worth the seller's while. =o(

Development Haulted.

Sorry about not posting in a while. Right now we're just waiting for the container to clear customs. They were supposed to be in but they decided to pop open our container for inspection.

That means they're going to take every box out and then put every box back in and then let us claim it afterwards.

The reason for lack of responce is because I have been focusing on the Suspension issues that have been brough up on another thread.

Due to the overwhelming amounts of negative criticizm and non-stop emails and PM's from frustrated consumers about the issues at hand it looks as though this may be the only batch of MC exhaust that will be available as we may simply discontinue the production of all Mini Cooper products.

This includes Short Shifters, Intake Heat Shields, Short Shifters, Suspension Kits, Suspension Arms, MCS Cat-Back Systems, MC Cat-Back Systems, 2-Piece Headers and anything else currently in production for the Mini Cooper and Mini Cooper S. The Development of the supercharger Pulley and Intercooler will be abandoned as well.

We are not abandoning the customers that have purchased from us in the past as we will be shipping out the replacement parts to correct the issues at hand. And all warranties on products already purchased will be honored in the future as long as supply allows us.

As a MCS owner myself, I was trying to push for more products for the community as possible. However, the amount of emails we have recieved and overwhelming responce has concerned the upper managment and owners of Megan Racing Inc.

Nothing is set in stone, and I will continue to push to keep developing products for the Mini Cooper community... but it doesn't look too good. I will keep you posted as best I can.

Wow.....that's really unfortunate. I hope Megan Racing will stick with it long enough to see whether fixing the suspension problem (and whatever else we've been griping about) will turn the tide. Please let "the bosses" know that not all of us are chasing you around carrying torches and pitch forks. Hang in there Steve.

Thanks for letting us know what is going on. If there's that much criticism of Megan's MINI products (issues at hand?), I guess it worked out for the best that I don't end up with one of these exhausts. I know running a business is tough, and I hope everything works out okay.

Yah, I guess, right?

The product is still a good product, and we will stand by them in quality and fitment.

Where we went wrong...

We took the advice of a Mini Cooper vendor who gave us the initial design of the Mini Cooper dampers. We entrusted him when he said they fit. We trusted him when he said there were no issues.. and what happened.

First, the rear portion of the suspension started to literally snap. After we were told they succesfully were tested and we listened to so much feedback, all of a sudden they were snapping.

We swooped in, I did some calculations and found out the stress loads were in the wrong spots and had to change them a bit. So that was good.

Time passes and we found out about the Suspension travel issue. This was well over a year after we had started to sell these dampers and we barely started to hear about it. This means that over 40+ Dampers were then sold that had these suspension travel issues.

Once again, we are taking this hit.

Experience is a HUGE aspect in the automotive industry... so we turned to someone who was experienced with Mini Coopers. That's why we went Out-of-House for the testing.

This does NOT mean our quality is not there. Does not mean the performance is not there. It just means that we are changing the way we do things. That's why we turned to the forums... to find out what the community wanted and gain our own experience from ourselves.

So if you choose to not purchase these exhausts... so be it, that's fine. As consumers your power is in your purchase. We wish you the best in luck with your MC.

All I ask is that you do not dismiss our product because of the fate of another one of our products.

Sounds like Megan is doing this for us ...

Seriously, don't give up on MINI products, just the ones that don't work. I'm not too familiar with the suspension issues, but people make calculated risks every time they modify their cars. That's the unfortunate thing about it.

I really think you've stumbled onto a great market here. There are tons of MC owners who would love a product line of our own for modifying their cars. I, for one, would feel better knowing the company I bought my products from is willing to stick with it and continue to evolve and develop from their successes and mistakes. I'm sure money is a factor and I hope there are ways for you to continue to develop for the MINI (especially the MC) and still make a living.

Good luck.

BTW, I'm still thinking about getting this exhaust.
