NEED 19mm H&R rear sway bar install info

I posted a thread about this a couple months ago... more like a question... even better, a plea for help. Does anyone at all know of a service shop that would install my new H&R 19mm rear sway bar for my 2011 justa... in the bay area of California. I bought it from outmotoring two months ago and when I called around to get install quotes, I called 3 different shops in my area and was quoted 450.00 to 650.00 to install the little bar. It only cost me 129.00 shipped!!! what the hey!
I'm considering giving up on having it installed at this point. Too bad. Has any body else purchased a rear sway bar for their 2011 mini cooper, if so what was the cost to have it installed?
Thanks

Should not br more than an hours labour.....
can be done on jack-stands in a driveway in perhaps 2 hours.....
Try any independant shop.....and be sure you say change a swaybar....
Since you are just swapping one out....

Thanks for the help/suggestions guys... I'll be sure to tell the shop in Mountain View, Kevin referred me!. As for the shops quotes I experienced: Hayward, PRMOTORSPORT quoted 4+ hours, another shop "I don't remember their name in Hayward quoted $650... based on their computer reference! and Finally a pretty cool shop in Oakland scheduled me for an appointment, I went there, they even gave me a loner car only to call me later to tell me that it would take much longer than they anticipated @ $96.00 an hr. I told them I'd come right back to get my car and that was that...
I'm calling Sonic Motorsport ASAP!! Thanks...:

I'm curious too. I want to know what was ultimately paid to have it installed. If they're getting a labor-only price of $450 to $650, for something that took me an hour and fifteen minutes to do in my garage, I'm in the wrong freakin' business.

The more you ask shops, the more it cost!

I installed mine and the instructions made it rather easy. I just ordered another one for my wife Cabrio. Makes a BIG difference over stock, even adjusted to the lowest setting.
My $0.02 worth

This is a DIY job. Trust me when I say dont pay a shop to do it. I did mine with minimal car knowledge/experience in less than an hour. I have the 25mm hollow bar and the best trick I can tell you is don't remove both sub fame bolts. Remove just one and loosen the other enough where you can wiggle the old out the the new in. This saves all the hassle of trying to line everything back up. And if my 25mm fit then your 19mm will slide right in. I should also add I did this in my apartment complex parking lot using nothing more than an inexpensive craftsmen socket wrench kit. If I can do it anybody can!
