Yes, the holes are bigger I think it makes it look more aggressive

Thanks Rich! This will definitely be on my "To Do" list.\

Also, does anyone know where I can find a DYI on the grille install? Is it pretty much straighforward, even for a novice such as myself? Thanks.

Wow, I have been debating whether or not I should get the Grill, and it looks like I will most likely get it from outmotoring.com. Wish me luck!!

It certainly provides the car with a more serious modern sports car look. I love mine.

Looks great Molly!!

I changed my grill as well, which I purchased from outmotoring (pics to follow).

I should have purchased the badge holder along with the grill... but will purchase that next.

How difficult (compared to the upper grille) was the Chrome Line lower grille to install?

I didn't do the install myself, I had the Rasmussen MINI do it. The Dealer called to confirm that I 'really' wanted to do this as it was a 2hr. Labor Charge ($220), I had cashed in 10,000 MINI Motoring Rewards Points so I had $100 already covered. He did say that they would have to remove the Front Bumper Skin to do the Lower Chrome Grill. Gitter' Done!!

I believe this is what he was talking about. It's from a MINI Credit Card

Hey Drew...sorry I just saw your post Today. I have a MINI Financial CC, I had something like 14,??? Motoring Rewards Points. So I called to have 10,000 of those points turned into MINI Moolah ($100) it is written as a Check in your specified Dealers Name, you just give it to them when you go to the Dealer for Service/Parts...whatever. It's just like real $$!!

Want more details go to...www.4myminicard.com

Finally did it today!

I received the JCW Grill from Outmotoring, and I did the swap today. It took about 20 minutes, and the only reason it took so long is I used a lot of masking tape on my bumper to prevent scratches. Also, after installing the grill, I could not get the lower chrome piece back on. As a result I installed it to the new JCW grill and carefully installed both at the same time as one piece.

Here are the results. The first pic was taken last year, when I first brought the car home. Please excuse the pic I took tonight after the install. I used my crappy cell phone camera, since the batteries on my digital camera were dead.

Lookin' good, Kimbo! Are you considering the black trim around the grille or do you like the chrome?

Thanks Albie! I actually don't mind the chrome, so for the time being I am going to leave it as is. My next project is the S gas cap conversion.

Thanks!

Here are the excellent directions I used for the install, in case anyone is a little bit scared. It's a straight forward job, but I would highly recommend attaching the lower chrome surround to the JCW grille first before installing.

Little late to the party, but made use of the directions today... If that's not the easiest mod I've ever done, it's definitely up there. Thanks!
