Pictures of a R50 JCW Exhaust

Does anyone have pictures of a R50 John Cooper Works Exhaust that has been on the car for a while?

I don't have any picks of an older exhaust because it was only on for 2 months before my MINI was totaled. I did notice that there was some initial discoloring that was apparent since the install (just on the muffler part).

JCW Sound Kit exhaust or JCW Tuning Kit exhaust? If you mean Tuning Kit, I can take one of mine.

No, they aren't. The Sound Kit has the JCW logo on it. The Tuning Kit has a larger plain chrome tip.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that just an exhaust tip that mini dealers sell welded onto the OEM exhaust? I have actually bought the tip to weld onto my OEM exhaust and it looks just like that.

The JCW exhaust is in fact a full stainless muffler with different piping, almost like a cat-back exhaust without crush bent pipes and such (iirc it is a cat-back exhaust)

If any of this is wrong, please let me know, but according to mini I believe thats what the difference is between the two exhaust types.

i used to have the tip you are talking about, and it is just a slip on part that replaces the beercan looking one

the sound kit has the jcw logo tipped muffler

and the discontinued jcw power kit had maybe the same as the soundkit? but was not the same muffler as standard so the large chrome tip won't fit it

The JCW Tuning Kit included a new cat-back exhaust. It does look similar to the stock exhaust and the welded-on tip looks just like the chrome tip you can buy at the dealer.

It was 2 fantastic months.

Wow I really do not like the tuning kit exhaust. I doubt it gives the same sound as sound kit.

I'm guessing you're asking because you're seeing black specs on it or wanna see how black the inside gets?

Mine tends to get little black specs which come out with a good buffing. The inside gets pretty black within a few months but wipes right off.

Pictures are in my gallery but that was new. Have 15K miles on it now.
